2 fullbacks who can actually defend.
A proper centre back.
A central midfielder.
The manager to stop making errors.
Strikers who put the ball INTO the goal.
Desire.
Determination.

We need all of the above.
For now 1 or 2 of them would do.

2 defenders and a more attack minded approach.

For me, he should be getting more from the players we have. In 90 minutes at Anfield, Aguero didn't have one touch inside their box. Alarm bells should have been ringing at half time, not 89 minutes.

He should be getting more, but it would probably mean changing the system to suit two or three players.

I'd like to think this is short term pain for long term gain.
