Good description of the nature of today's coverage NT :(

At the best of times it's bad enough but if we get turned over, the media reaction will be unbearable so that's just one more reason for stuffing these pettyfogging cretins in their own back yard.

I don't think anything other than a win will suffice for us as, apart from anything else, 'vis a vis' our own League position with the Dippers, Chelsea will take Sparky Spews' outfit to the proverbial cleaners, the Scum will run up a cricket score against a fearful 'Boro in awful Swampland conditions and, on Sunday, Whinger's mob will scrape through (no doubt with the referee's assistance) against an Allardyce inspired, 'park the bus' rearguard action by Palace.

Moreover, we can't expect anything other than a Tottingham victory against Watford, so the three points are vital for us and I'm actually convinced we can do it and spoil everyone else's party at the same time.

So, come on City; let's turn this abysmal lot over and make it four out of four on the trot and provide a happy New Year celebration for all City fans.

(PS Embarrassed apologies for sounding so sabre-rattlingly bellicose and upbeat :o :o :o )

Whats happened MC? Is this upbeat nature a sign of things to come in 2017 or will normal service resume forthwith?

I think I'm evoking the old 'typical City' theme, in that we achieve the totally unexpected and I'm convinced that we can give Klopperty's overconfident plodders a footballing lesson today.

Everyone is waiting to celebrate a Dipper's win and I feel this will galvanise us to 'rain on their parade'. This evening is when we plant our marker in the sand.

No doubt, after today, things will return to 'normal' and, in future games, I'll be fearfully content with three points gained in any scrappy and fortuitous way possible......some things will probably never change ;)

We need to smash the candelcunts. For once I don't dislike their manager, but I despise every other thing about them.

Biggest game of the season and we are massively counting on the players to step up. Being NYE, I'll be stepping up the drinking and wishing City can make me a happy drunk to end 2016.

Predict 3-1 to us with rested Sergio, vengeful Raheem, and big Yaya getting he goals.

COME ON CITY!!!

Sterling's balls have definitely began to drop this season. Score a couple today and they'll hit the floor.

I have myself set up for a miserable evening.
My best mate and his son, my Godson, coming down to watch the match on BT, because they don't have it.
Both are rabid Liverpool fans.
Me and my son supporting City.

Hope to Christ our boys turn up there and don't ruin the evening.

I don't think there's another team in the league who could field a worse defence than that.

But our attacking line-up is strong. We need our attackers to be at their best to reduce the amount of defending we have to do.

Not confident at all in our defence. No idea why Pep feels the need to change it every match. But Liverpool's defence isn't strong so we need to get at them early and put them under pressure.

Firmino as a false 9 with Can in for Origi to pack the midfield.

Like the team up top but would have preferred the more athletic Sagna in for Zabbs. Whoever is out there needs to step up, massive day!!

In a bad mood after the earlier results. Please, City, don't ruin our New Year.

This is a MUST not lose. Otherwise we have a very good chance of being 5th after the weekend, with Utd 3 pts behind us.
