We've known for 6 months where we need strengthening and we appear to have made no serious effort to sign anyone.

5th place here we come

very hard to find really good players whose current clubs are willing to let them go, are not cup tied, and can be bought for a good price in the january window

Not sure how good he is defensively and doesn't get tested much in Scotland but Tierney off Celtic puts some lovely passes into the box and times forward runs well. Been impressed any time u have seen him play but obviously with the standard of opposition he is up against would still be a risk.

I've watched a few Celtic games since Patrick Roberts went there on loan and whenever Tierney has played he's been the best player on the pitch. Only 19 too, I'm sure somebody will take a punt on him.

Sky is reporting Payet is on his way back to Marseille for 25 mil.

The weirdest transfer move in years for me. Without any explanation.

£11m offer tabled for him apparently by an unnamed championship club
amazing piece of business if true.

BREAKING: Sky sources: @WatfordFC agree £20m fee with Chinese club Changchun Yatai for striker Odion Ighalo. #SSNHQ

How do everyone do this?

I bet if we sold Aguero to china the fee would be below £15m

Money laundering can be the only answer, £20M for a guy whose market value is £10M

A striker that has only scored two goals all season......

MUEN reporting Mooy's recall clause expired in the first week of January, Txiki had his finger on the pulse of course.

Sell him with a favourable buy-back clause if he is to be sold?

Reported Manchester City and Barcelona target Steven N'zonzi has singed a contract extension at La Liga high-flyers Sevilla.

The former Blackburn and Stoke midfielder will now stay at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan until June 2020.

Brilliant news. I'm mates with a Rovers season ticket holder and he said N'Zonzi thought he was big Pat but was nowhere near his level, and if he didn't get his own way he just sulked around the pitch.

I don't think we should sell him in January, but he plays in a position we're pretty well sorted for. If we sold him in the summer we might get a bidding war going because they love him at Huddersfield, and the teams coming up might take a punt on him too.

Contact extension just guarantees that he wont at some point leave on a free so protects the club. At the same time it also protects the player of course who if he doesn't leave has more financial security with increased longevity of his contract.

A win win but doesn't change anything in terms of whether he will leave Sevilla or not.

Michael Owen (wanker) also said he's a lunatic in training. Very aggressive and always in scuffles even with his mates. I can't really see that we would have been interested but sometimes the agents say things to force their contract negotiations ( in this case, with Sevilla)
