Makes sense if we swap him out for VVD for £70m and no Alexis or Mbappe, especially, this window.

Really would allow us to not have to sign a 4th CB as I'd be less worried if Vinny goes down and we have VVD + Stones vs. Otamendi + Stones.

That being said, I think VVD is most likely to wind up at Chelsea.

Why would we? They already sold him to Villareal (before buying him back), so any sell-on clause would've been activated then.
