Can't beat it.

I guess it's just easiest to belt it out as fast as possible rather than try to sing in tune when you're pissed.

Pisses me off as well.

If it happens every club 64 then why is it so obvious with us?

Why are we the most famous for it?

Media or fact?

Honest reply. We've stuck c.30k on the fanbase in less than ten years, and trebled prices for some games.

What the fuck do you expect.

On this basis alone, more of an effort should be made to rectify it... by the club and the fans. Atmosphere, transport, acoustics, congestion outside the stadium... whatever the fuck it is, fix it.

Maybe those clocking out early should lose points, or at least not get as many as those who stay the distance.

Of course it's easy to lose it when a flaw is pointed out, particularly by someone who can't/doesn't go every week.

But it's something I'd love to see fixed or certainly improved greatly.
And you can guarantee it would benefit the team.

Here's hoping.

They use the big stick only because some wit realised that Etihad can easily be made into Emptihad. It's no different from Highbury and Library.

I think people leave early primarily because they want to get out ahead of the transport crush, be it car, bus, tram or train, and is a natural consequence of larger attendances and could only be tackled by sorting out the car parking and public transport, all of which is beyond the club's immediate control. Of course, some may need to leave early in order to get a particular train in order to avoid a long wait at the station and a late return home.

This. Not to mention games are constantly ruined by teams coming and throwing 11 men behind the ball or the refereeing being bad.

I've said before, it's touts who receive tickets from UEFA that have been reserved by UEFA for 'hospitality'. Someone in UEFA is lining his or her pocket and allowing touts to fleece fans (for example a closed stadium in Russia a few seasons ago where several hundred home fans managed to find tickets)

How does that explain the same thing happening at PL home games?

It doesn't, since I'm talking about UEFA only.

Fair enough. Just, going by anecdotal evidence in here, it seems to be a problem that goes beyond just UEFA. Probably not as blatantly obvious as the CL games though.

Ronan in a democracy you can do anything you want within the law of the land. So if people want to leave early it is their right to do so. Also why should they lose points they have attended the game after all, also the club are not arsed as they have their revenue. Imo this is a daft thread.
