Just watching MOTD, Negredo scores two great goals.

Would you have him back at City?

Kun and him were awesome until the WHU injury

Ship has sailed. I don't think he is at champions league level

The heart says "yes", like a shot but the head says sadly "no".

Mind you, one thing is certain to my mind, we could do with another forward at the moment and one who would complement Aguero in the way that Negredo did.

Definitely No. Not good enough. Today is the first time he's scored in the league since September

They were his first goals since the opening day of the season

I thought briefly he was top class. Then realised he was slow and not very good in the air. Really over rated by City fans. Bang average.

He has barely scored at all for Boro before today. Nowhere near good enough for us by miles.

He's on a team fighting against relegation and he's not even as good as Defoe has been, who is also even older than Negredo.

I am rooting for him, but we did very well to sell when we did.

No denying up until he got injured against West ham in that league cup semi 2nd leg he had been sensational for City in his and Pellegrini's first season. But sadly his decline in form following his return from injury was equally sensational and he's been unable to replicate that wonder spell since.

Always good to see him score goals it's a nice reminder of that fantastic but brief purple patch for the blues when scoring goals (and some belters at that) came so easily for him

This is another of the great myths about him.
He'd already turned to shit before January. He did look great, but it was a purple patch from September to the end of November.
It's a great point that we sold him just in time to get a decent fee for him.

Totally agree with this. Was never as good before or after.

He has been terrible in Spain for past two years. Absolutely not.

Edin Dzeko on the other hand though.... we are desperate for that kind of player. Now HE was seriously underrated.

While he been in form recently, he's also produced some incredible misses at his time there:

Wouldn't want Negredo back since he was only good for a few months, but those months were great. Goals like this stick out to me:

He would be a complete square peg for the round hole. Totally unsuited. I used to forgive all of his dribbling deficiencies because of his goal nous. For starters Pep just wouldn't play him. If Nacho can't get a game there's no way Edin would.

His assist for Milner away to fulham was sensational. He was great during that purple patch, as good a performance as i have seen from a number 9 in my time watching city, he was absolutly dogshit after that.

Begs the question has aguero ever done well with a partner, Negredo for a few weeks aside. Id love to see two up top for a change, too easy for defenders to mark one esp when our midfielders dont get in the box,
