Zab has to take primary responsibility for the goal today. He is so slow now opposition players take him on with ease.

It was clear last season his best days were over but for some reason we made no attempt to replace him.

Our defence overall is shambolic. Sagna is the only good defender we have, with Stones showing signs of promise but still has a lot to learn. Clichy is the best of our left backs, but is in decline and Kompany is always injured. Otamendi and Kolarov are useless, and Zab's best days are behind him.

I don't understand why we've let ourselves get into this situation. It's extremely bad planning from the management team.

Clichy hasn't been our best leftback this season and Stones is a very very good defender

I've seen nothing to suggest that
a) the players have any confidence in him
or
b) that he looks like he wont drop a major clanger at any point in a given game

I want all city players to be a success, but seriously how long are people gonna keep saying this guy is doing ok since he arrived. He isn't doing well that's the short and tall of it, but lets hope he can find a way out of this difficult spell asap

I'm just musing but, with regard to the defensive side of things, I wonder if the decision was made before the season started, to see how we went with what we've got and only then to address any shortcomings in January.

Just musing a little further, I wonder if the decision was made to try get through this whole season with the defenders we have and, after Christmas start to bring some of the youngsters in, with a view to having them 'bedded in' for the start of next season. Buying any new players last summer would only have stifled the progress of the EDS lads, if this was the intention.

As I say, I'm just musing and January could be the determining month either way, with how our defence might eventually be composed.

I'm not too worried. Revisionist, nostalgic stuff going around every time things don't go appear to go perfect from Bravo it seems.

Maybe he could have saved it but I wouldn't be calling it an error by him not saving it. The fault was Zaba. Hate saying it but the barce performance from him are the exception. Maybe the travel hadn't helped the legs but he looked so slow and laboured defending for the goal. His forward runs are still an asset and he will always give his all but defensively he just doesn't cut it anymore

Our game is fucking shit from the back anyway, pass pass hoof. Hart would have been a much better option than this clown.
