Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Please see my statement on the situation at Manchester City:
"I wish to apologise - on behalf of myself and those who represent me - to the management team and all those working at the club for the misunderstandings from the past.
"Those statements do not represent my views on the club or the people who work there.
"I have nothing but respect for Manchester City and only wish the best for the football club.
"I am immensely proud to have played a part in the club's history and want to help City succeed further. I live to play football and entertain the fans.
"On that note, I would like to thank all of the fans for their messages through this difficult period. This means a great deal to me and my family."
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Good on Yaya, now where's Seluk's apology?

The agent just said on the radio he (the agent) is not apologizing.

So Yaya's apology is meaningless then.
Pep: "Seluk must apologise. If he doesn't, he [Toure] won't play."

It remains to be seen if Yaya's apology will make any difference at all as it's not Yaya that Pep wants an apology from. i don't think it will be enough it's Seluk that needs to act on this not Yaya.
That said I'm actually happy Yaya has made an apology. Late or not, it was the right thing for him to do.
Still feel it's rather strange he hasn't parted ways with Seluk at this stage, seriously what will it take?

That is not an apology.
There were no misunderstandings. It was quite clear what his agent said - several times whilst Yaya remained silent.
Anyway, I thought Pep was demanding an apology from Seluk?
Seluk has just been on talksport and said he doesn't apologise; that he has nothing to apologise for.
Great times Yaya, but fuck off now.

His style still doesn't fit with Peps system but he's an extra body for a busy Xmas period AND he can take a penalty.

Curious, but it is an apology for his misunderstandings I think,
"I wish to apologise - on behalf of myself and those who represent me,"
and also on behalf of his agent it would seem.
So the choreographed interview by his slug on TS, continuing to refuse to apologise, raises the question of whether Yaya can still be punished after doing all in this power to accede to Pep's requirements. Natural justice says he has done his part, albeit reluctantly and tardily, so he must now be back into consideration for selection.

Pep specifically requested an apology from Seluk, there is none forthcoming.

Not in this case as Pep explicitly said he wanted an apology from his agent.

This is now the point.
Seems I'm in a minority here, but I really don't want Yaya''s career here to end like this, he's been so important to us in our rise, he should be a club legend.

We are finally the club that will NOT be messed with.
Players who come have to want to win things above all else. And they better do as their told or they'll be fucked off.
I love it. What a start to the weekend.

The main actor here is Yaya, he is the one with the contract and if he apologises for his employee's actions that constitutes a remedy. I think

Possibly, however it wasn't Yaya that insulted Pep in public ( by extension it was, I accept that ) it was Seluk.
