20 years old, not speaking very good English arriving, injured as soon as he started training, following a hefty transfer fee, and experienced some challenges getting his chances when the competition is fairly stiff...

Remember Raheem...

Needs more time to adapt and learn. Not worried by a long shot at this point. There have been glimpses of what he can offer.

I'm willing to bet his English is better than a lot on here.

German guys usually speak at least decent English so I doubt that is an issue.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

This I am aware of, yet when he arrived he conducted his interview for CityTV in German.

I didn't just come up with this based on speculation. Like the notion that for some reason I wouldn't know that Germans (and most Northern European countries) usually speak good English ;)

So, we can all agree that the young man is not very confident at English.

How's his football getting on?

We bought potential. We also have seen some of it and I feel he needs time before real judgement is passed. I will lean towards it being fulfilled.

He has an incredible burst pace, strength, clever skill with the ball to get past his man and in case you didn't notice defends and works hard.

He's learning, and has seemed hesitant perhaps due to the expectations. He needs to work on improving, including on consistency, but give him some time to bed in.

Going after him right now is mad, and reminds me of the way fans (including some of our most fickle/what have you done for me lately ones) treated Raheem last season.

We signed Nolito in part as a more experienced player we can play on the left.

We need to see how he plays in a normal formation and team selection. Right now he's getting games with the second string or deployed as a makeshift wingback.

I wish pep would go back to the 433 that won us 11 on the bounce and rotate same with sterling and nolito there.

I think Raheem is in Jamaica, isn't this his annual holiday break

On Raheem. 22 today. Happy birthday to you.

He's showing more with each match from what I can see. He made some cracking runs against Celtic.
