Very very dodgy for me.
Denying a clear peno and booking sterling in the process. Allowing busquets and their left full continuously foul... plenty of real head scratchers .
It was all the trademarks of a homer referee but he was protecting the away side at every opportunity.
Last week it was Mike Dean.
Overall, we haven't been given nearly as bad a run by the officials as previous seasons.
Two stonewall penalites not given when this time last year I think we had close to ten, as well as all the weird offside calls v spurs.
If I could have wish this season it would be that it is the best season ever for officiating.
Because we'll walk it and it will be fair.

Really really poor referee tonight. Booking a Sterling was similar to the one Aguero got done go rag Southampton a few years back. Truly baffling. Busquets not to get yellow for persistent fouling another. Got a bit of luck with the third as the referee missed Aguero's handball. Had he seen it you can bet it would've been disallowed. But we deserved it.
This was certainly the best tie of the night, if not the week, so why wasn't the best referee appointed!

The refs performance reminded me of Clattenberg at Anfield. Raised an eyebrow or two.

As and when a team loses, i am loathe to blame the referee. Now , as you will know, i missed the first half
However, what i will say is that i have never seen such a bad referee in football , in all my years, as what i saw tonight. The man clearly does not understand football.

The ref was as bent as you could get - he had clearly been given his instructions yet despite that we still smashed them and that to me shows how good we were tonight. How their left back didn't get a yellow in the first 10 mins for 2 bad fouls on Sterling is unbelievable. Barca should've had at least 7 yellows and possibly even a red yet we got booked for soft fouls. The yellow card for Sterling was disgraceful and was a stonewall pen. And to think we will still get better. Amazing times to be a blue!

Did you notice early on he gave Roberto a "no more fouls or you're booked warning" with the finger gesture they do. 60 seconds later he fouled Sterling AGAIN and....no card, wait...didn't you? Oh nvm, forgot who we were playing.
I counted at least 8 bad decisions and 5 of those were in the first 12 minutes, sort of gave up counting after that but noticed a few more late on.

Total cunt.
He was dying to give them anything.
Our only chance to stand any chance to win comp this is to score 3 goals a game.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

I don't think he'll be getting any more top games to referee in Europe.
UEFA will have been watching him closely tonight and he will have been under strict orders from them to ensure a Barca victory. He did his level best but failed badly in his mission, so this won't go down well with our beloved European Governing Body.
That's the last we will see of him, thankfully.

Didn't catch the very end of the game - which Barca player did he swap shirts with?

The one not yet mentioned was the fucking diabolical yellow on kolarov. By the way I thought he had a good game, kolarov not the cheating cunt with the whistle.
That, the sterling yellow and the non foul on Silvia who was pulled then hacked all had me screaming at the tv
Tracking back is overrated.

I know I counted 4 highly questionable calls against us up to certain point compared to one they could have argued, and that wasn't including the persistent fouling against us. I can't remember them all now but here were 3:
1) Sterling penalty shout that he got a yellow for
2) Suarez clear dive when "fouled" (barely touched) by Ottamendi
3) Suarez up-ending Ottamendi (the commenter I heard called the move "clever"...I'd call it dirty) that was a blatant yellow
And then the persistent fouling by Busquets, etc. Amazing. If it were us someone would have been sent off ages ago. No joke, nearly every other time we attacked in the 2nd half it seemed they fouled us from behind and barely any cards drawn.

Yes he made some very strange decisions, and had a poor game. But if he was bent, why didn't he give messi the penalty? Personally I just don't think he was up to the task of officiating such a game.

Conspiracy theorists will get no argument from me. That was blatantly bad.
