You have to be on a wind up.

One game and a half in all competitions this season, could they be accused of lacking in this thread title.

Your gripe lies elsewhere

different league so far...
question is, why don't they do this week in week out? they have it in them AND THAT HAS BEEN MY ARGUMENT ALL ALONG

We do. It's just that tonight we were more clinical and we won the game convincingly. We played well enough against Everton and Southampton to have easily won those games, we just didn't take our chances and were punished for the few mistakes we made at the back. As I have said before, Spuds away was the only game of Pep's reign where we were below par and subsequently outplayed. Why can't you see that?

NT, do you do your job at the same work rate every day? Is it at your maximum level?

I can only imagine what you'd have said had Gomes' shot not come back off the bar NT.

I'm only guessing but I doubt Nige works 2 hours a day then goes home to play on the Xbox and then goes in on a Saturday for 90 minutes- all while being paid £100,000k a week. I'm just guessing though.

Level of performance? This thread is about the level of application, effort and work rate - even if luck or that final ball isn't with us.

Basically, how much the players "give a shit". You said it was your main gripe, but this season the above has been better than ever. And you chose to highlight it as our main problem.

Spurs away. First half v Southampton.

Anyway, now's not the time, given the brilliant night we had last night. But we will lose/draw games - let's just see how much of that is down to "not being arsed".

I'd wager it will be very, very few mate.

I never thought our players lacked effort. Yes, a bit stale looking at times but "couldn't be arsed?" No, not having that. I did think we lacked quality though, but in 38 years of watching City I've never seen anything like last night before. I do wonder if the less energetic performances are the result of too much footbsll. The likes of Kun have not had a summer off for a long time.

You are dreaming if you think this is the daily life of a footballer.

I 100% know that it is the daily life of SOME footballers. I'm mates with three professional footballers.

I bet they're not getting 100k a week and I'll bet they aren't playing at the highest level nor will they.

Gazza played at the highest level. Wonder what his lifestyle was like. Same with Best. Same with Dunnie. Balotelli...

No complaints again v boro. That first half was like a training session.

We definitely tired a little in the second, but I wouldn't say anyone wasn't trying.

One of those fucking sickening games

Qualified cl and within one win of Prem. I'm pretty sure everything is alright.

Would I have liked them to go for a winner last night? Yep. Would it have made a difference in the end? Probably not. We've improving to do if we want to win trophies, but show me a team that doesn't so far. Chelseas current run isn't much different to our opening run. It will happen to us again I'm sure.

Not once did I say say everything is ok.
Not once.

However, you made a huge point that the title of this thread was our biggest problem.

And now you look a right cunt who doesn't know what he's talking about.

Stick to starting official match threads.

You're completely out of your depth here.

no, you summarised those as being our issues.
i have consistently said that it just looks like the players are just 'doing a job' and are playing with no passion and aren't taking responsibility...they just simply follow orders.
it's boring and was very interesting to see in last night's match thread that others are starting to feel the same

Right, so application, effort and workrate are fine, but the players look like they're just "doing a job"?

As for the match thread being "interesting".

It always is.

And also rarely reflects the genuine feelings of fans.

Listen, everyone with half a brain knows we need to improve in different areas and that we need to convert more of the many chances we create.

But if you think any of the players will be getting city tattoos or chanting from the stands when they're not playing, think again.

The barca players look like they're just doing a job.
So do the bayern players.
So do the real players.

I don't get your point.
