And Nolito, why wasn't he on the pitch from the start. The guys been sat out for a few matches and I thought he'd be on, not subbed on.

Did you know that Vinny actually played all over the pitch for Anderlecht including some striker. He was actually holding midfielder originally and had just switched to CB when we signed him.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Not true. He played defensive midfield for us initially and then moved to centre half ;)

Switchback. He was cb at Anderlecht and for Belgium already at the time.

In Hamburg and in the end of his Anderlecht days he was playing CB.

The possesion, territorial advantage, chances created, chances limited for the opposition and general play were all heavily in our favour and an indication of where we aspire to be.

Play like that each time and we win the league. No concerns from me whatsover at this stage

And yet, NB old chum, whenever match day comes around, it's always you and I who are worried about the opposition and we always seem to agree that we'd settle for a scrappy 1-0 victory, just to get the three points.

It's amazing what being 'City daft' does to us :? :? :? :? :?

I know. I was just generalising with the start to be fair. 13 games, 10 wins, 2 draws and just 1 defeat. I'd have taken that before the start of the campaign like a shot. I also would have thought it would have taken longer for us to adapt to a new style yet we seem to have really hit the ground running with almost every pundit and commentator praising our play to the nines.

Just wishing for three points each match day is sadly ingrained in my DNA from the many years of struggle and toil.

You're spot on with what you are saying NB.

I was just pulling your leg :) :) :)

I'm very happy with Pep. He's taken firm control of the team which needed to happen. Tactically and as a coach he seems to be on another planet altogether. He's done #1 job as a manager: he's got his team performing above themselves.

If we continue to play as we did on Saturday then we will win vast majority of our games and most probably the league as well.

I studied history at university, so from my point of view it is far too early to say. In 50 years I will be able to form an assessment.

For me, the jury is still out on Wilf Wild.

Well after the last few results, my jury is very much out and unless he beats Barca by a couple of clear goals tomorrow I'll have my Machin Ball Clark Pep out banner at the game on Sunday. Another dodgy result then and my sack the board banner is coming out.

He needs to remember that Big Sam is available, so it's not like we don't have options.

So what you reckon then, should Pep have adapted his whole style of play to suit Hart?

Could've given hart a chance for a season as a second keeper behind bravo. If he doesn't adapt to pep's wishes then fine. I of course don't know if hart was offered this deal or not but I don't think so.

Or perhaps coach Hart to fit his system. Hart is a world class shot stopper and probably best goalkeeper in the world in one-on-ones (in Pep's posession football this is pretty important). His only real weakness, and often wildly exaggarated one, is his passing. He has his system which I very much appreciate but every system can be tweaked and players can be coached.

Have to admit I was more or less of the same opinion until watching Bravo. Having watched how proficient he is with the ball at his feet convinced me that this was the right move, he has the instincts of a footballer because he has played that way from a young age, Hart just doesn't have them instincts and whilst there may be a case of being able to coach him to come up to scratch in this regard there's also the risk of having such an influential player in our dressing room being upset potebtially leading to a negative atmosphere which could in turn undermine Guardiola.
