What was very evident was a table on the spiral nearest the South Stand was dozens of empty half empty and full coke bottles on the table. Airports do this but how can a bomb be made from liquid in a clear bottle, sometimes with an unbroken seal on the cap?

They could glaze the bottle so on first glance it looked 'coke' colour. Bearing in mind it's very possible to have minimum wage hired help providing 'security'.
One bottle could do a lot of damage in a packed stadium.

When we first moved to the stadium they stopped you taking a bottle in with a cap on it - we asked why and we got told that a bottle is heavier with liquid in when thrown...
I still assumed they were doing that. To be honest I'm fuming I can't sneak cans of beer in anymore but I'd rather not get blown the fuck up.

get a camelbak, winerack, or beer belly https://www.amazon.com/BeerBelly-200-00 ... B001RB2CXY

in the southern USA, they also have pocket shots (a shot in a plastic bag), which fold up nicely to be taken into stadiums http://www.pocketshot.com/pocket-shot/
