one for our Green Army gang as there are quite a few on here that could give me a point in the right direction.

I am missing the game at the weekend as I am in Dublin. I will be staying almost in the centre in Temple bar. what's the best place to watch the game? I take it that it will be infested with rags and dippers but not so much as they are playing each other on Monday night.

is there a bar where it's more blue friendly?

Temple bar boozers probably best avoided WW. They're good craic with trad music in the evenings and lots of foreigners milling about but can be a bit pricey as NT has pointed out.

I'd advise you to head on to Dame street where there are plenty of good pubs, or up to South William st for more trendy students bars

Is this on tv? If not you wont get in temple bar, in fact even if it is you wont find a decent boozer to watch it. I never watch matches in the city centre so im not greatest person to advise but The Woolshed(might need to cab it, its beside jervis shopping centre) is good for matches or Sinnots pub(beside stephens green) even still as mentioned if its not on sky or bt i dont think any pubs will show it.

Should be alright its on Skysports Ireland. Would say the Living Room just off O'Connell street be good has lots of televisions so should definitely be showing in there bit other two are good suggestions. Would get as far away from Temple Bar as possible, its shit and overpriced

Sky Sports 5 are showing the game live in Ireland.

Sinnotts is s good shout to watch a game, whether they'll show this one is another matter though.

I reckon the Woolshed will show it because they're a dedicated sports bar but they're a bit off the beaten track.

Ah if its on sky sports ireland(typical this happens when i move to the UK) you are sorted, sinnots is about 5 min walk from temple bar max and would be good.

I am there with the outlaws (scouse1) and the missus for the weekend. Can't get too hammered early doors as I am going to the Commitments in the evening.

I was considering it but I have a date with some IKEA flat pack this Saturday, the missus is nesting at the minute. I'll manage to squeeze the game in ( between wardrobes and you storage units )at home because the missus subscribed to Sky Sports for the year for me, very kind of her but really it's to stop me fucking off to the pub every weekend to watch the football.

My missus is nesting as well... 4 weeks to go, so it's not the easiest to run to town at the minute.

Saying that Bob, if I can get out at all, I'll hope on the train and go to Sinnotts for a couple of pints for sure pal.

WW I know the Dublin branch of the Supporters club still meet in Chaplins Bar on Hawkins Street as far as I know. So I would expect that they would show the game there. It's a small place and last time I was in it I didn't notice any large screen TV's downstairs so maybe the Sinnott's idea is better. Keeps you fairly central to all activity afterwards anyway and a nicer end of town.
I might be around, because I've to bring my young lad to waterpolo in Guinness's pool which is in town, for 4:40pm.
I wouldn't mind catching the match first. If I can I'll drop by.
I'd echo what the rest of them are saying. You're better off staying out of Temple Bar which is pricier. Sure you'll get music, but you'll get that anywhere up Wexford Street as well which won't be too far from Sinnotts.

Sounds like an action packed weekend. Enjoy the famous Irish hospitality, and 3 points for God's own.

not sure which my hotel is. I will find out off the missus tonight and see how close we are to sinnots. I will probably be checked in for 2 and be in the pub for 2.15.

will definitely look to head there as it seems a good place to watch it. plus the bro in law will want to catch some footy too. I wonder who he wants to win? he is a scouse1 fan so will be weird for him but I reckon he will want an Everton victory.
