Former youth player Jeremy Helan has quit football at 24 to focus on religion:

Sheffield Wednesday are set to announce the retirement of Jeremy Helan, who plans to quit football at the age of 24 in order to focus on religion.

BBC Radio Sheffield understands the club will confirm that winger Helan, a devout Muslim, is leaving Hillsborough.

The Frenchman has made one appearance for Wednesday this season and 144 in total since arriving from Manchester City in 2012, initially on loan.

He spent two months on loan at Wolves last season.

Helan has made three appearances for France Under-19s.

So just to get it clear, suggesting the lad is either a child molester or a terrorist isn't at all offensive to you but a quarter of the planet's population and countries is.
