I can say straight away that I don't.

Are they on in the 'Playing Away' mode (if that's still around)? I know that you can spot smilies across the room on an employee's computer, so it's best to disable them on there, if possible.

in which case my opinion is that if their alleged benefits in aiding amusing personal expression massively outweigh the disadvantage that they are a noxious contamination akin to the dung of the devil - I would be surprised.
