Bony to potters on season long loan

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Loaning them out gets their wages off our books.

I think Joe was an exception because of his unusually high wages.

Would be better to sell but if we can't then loan is next best option.

Why are you certain that Pep wanted more players? I am certain Pep wanted Aubamepingpong from Dortmund and also a wing back, on the left or right and certain he will try to get them in the january window.

Things with the Gabon chap was weird as fuck. City were in advanced talks then nothing and we did not bring anyone there either. Well, Jesus is a different type of player, while Moreno is still a mistery.

Our balance this summer is not good, if we look just at transfers. We paid what? I say 70 mil + addons that will bring the money to something like 150. We sold what? Dzeko, hopefully for 20 mil. What about the rest?

Aubademenang is from Gabon.

I agree, we took to much on selling our players and we can see that now. I still have no idea how/if Inter is still paying for Jovetic.

Who's the Gabon chap?
Why are you certain we were in for Aubameyang? Genuine question.

Him, Aubameyang.

Pep was a big fan of his, I recall saying a lot of nice things about him when he was at Bayern. This transfer saga will resurface again in January or next summer, you will see.

I suspect most of Nasri's, Mangala's and Bony's wages would also be heavily subsidised by us as well

If he has a decent enough season with Stoke and scores a fair number of goals, his value could increase appreciably from his value as perceived at the moment, which is very little.

Having said that, we do seem to get perpetually turned-over, by all and sundry, whenever we try to sell anyone and I can understand Peter Parker's frustration and annoyance at this situation.

When you're in the condition known as being 'City daft', circumstances and events like this just seem to be almost a personal insult.

If that M****r report is due then they're paying us £2million for the pleasure. If that is the case then why would we be subsidising his wages? Surely if we were subsidising this £2million would be just factored into the subsidies.

Strange that they're saying a brilliant signing for Hughes?

I think our balance on the field is quite excellent at the moment. And that's what I watch each week. I don't turn up to examine the P&L and cash flow statements, cheering wildly when the numbers add up. I'm not an arsenal fan droning on about "net spend".

The Sheikh has a personal fortune of £17 billion, with a family fortune of at least $1 trillion. We can afford it. And it really doesn't matter in the large picture when you factor in TV deals, sponsors and global merchandise sales.

We've had a bunch of players who are good, but proved to be not up for it last year (and from when Pep has seen so far this year). So we're moving them on to make way for better players.

Plus Bony at Stock makes it more likely they'll take points off the rags & chavs

Cheer up you miserable bastard

I don't think Bony was on silly money, so I would be very surprised if Stoke made us subsidise his wages.

Just read an article in the Mail saying Stoke are paying all of his wages plus the £2million loan fee.

It is a great signing for Stoke, especially for the money. He was brilliant for Swansea, and he'll be in a similar situation at Stoke. Certainly much better than the current strikers at Stoke

That's fine but Bony has hardly played for a season and half and now they say he is a 'brilliant' acquisition. Just seems over the top, especially as they mentioned Hughes and not Stoke.

For the record, I don't think anything about Hughes has ever been and ever will be brillant
