One things for sure, there's going to be a lot of high ball going into our box this season from teams hoping for a repeat performance.

I never watch Spanish football, what did he look like at Barca?

Much better than this. As with Chile. Every keeper makes mistakes from time to time.

Issue was more about him coming out so far off his line to help deal with long passes arriving closer to the outside of the penalty box than the goal. He should have let Stones deal with the one that led to the goal. That seems more like communication and experience with your own back line to me.

Souness is happy to write Bravo off as useless because of one collision with his own player - he is a brickbrain.

Apart from the collision with Rocky, assured debut. He got on with it despite the razzing.

Hopefully he'll have learnt not to make that mistake again.

Anyway, it was what it was and if we hadn't conceded then we may have conceded two or more later.

Should be up to speed with the PL now after today's scares.

Blimey, I think because we won a few on here are happy to give him the thumbs up on todays performance, Lets be honest today was not good, heavy touches creating havoc in his own box, poor in coming out for crosses - the one he got right he then, having claimed threw it straight out to a rag. A couple of decent passes under pressure showed what he is capable of, but overall the bad outweighed the good - lets be honest here.

First game and a tricky debut, looking forward to seeing the best of him having settled over the coming games but as for today , well lets just say improvement required.

Thank you!!

People are on high after beating the rags so they will cheer bravo but fuck me we might have just as well put Yaya in goal as I think he would've been equally shite at this goalkeeping job

I'm sure he is better than this tho so not all hope is lost

I think some chaps on here are impersonating Robbie Braindamage, and a jolly good job they are making of it. Claudio Bravo is a top flight keeper with the best distribution skills in the world until he got off a flight in Manchester when he turned into a slightly inferior version of Andy Dibble.

If you read my posts carefully I'm not saying he isn't a top flight goalkeeper with top distribution skills. What I am saying is he wasn't that today and that because we won some people seem to cutting him more slack and overlooking that he didn't turn in the sort of performance in keeping with that of a top flight goalkeeper with top distribution skills. A tough debut no doubt but not the performance we were expecting or hoping for from the lad

McManaman had a sick debut and look how he turned out. Prick.

Let's give this Bravo chap more than one game eh?

I agree, and if you read my posts carefully I'm not saying he didn't have some problems - I'm having a bit of joke.

No worries mate it's been a top day overall we blew them away first half didn't we but being city threw them a lifeline which they couldn't take and we had the best chances second half. As for bravo bags of experience which will I'm sure help him settle quickly.

not convinced by him at all so far.

his supposed strength--his feet--appears to not be one.
some of his stop stopping hasn't been impressive either.

Until that fuck up his feet appeared a real strength to me.

Has looked decent in terms of shot stopping so far too.

It's his decision making that's letting him down. OK, we want to play it from the back but you can't always do that. Yesterday, the defence had been turned by the ball over the top and we were all running to our goal. This made it hazardous to even try to play it out yet Bravo wanted a touch and then try to play it out when in reality he should've just hoofed the ball to safety.

We've seen this a number of times and it's starting to cost us as we're just not quite ready to go full tilt.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".
