I remember being pretty gobsmacked when Mark Schwarzer chose Bradford over us. To be fair it was the right move at the time and didn't do him any harm.
If he'd chosen City he might have played for us for years and we might never have signed Hart
James, Swedish dude who replaced Hart/Schmeichel, Given.
If you meant for our first team, rather than from someone else's, you could add the likes of Schmeichel and Seaman to that.

Isaksson, he replaced James and got promptly injured. Came back, got injured again and by then Hart had taken over in goal.

That's the one, although Hart went out on loan and then Given came in with Hughes. Or did Hart go on loan after Given arrived?
Either way, it was before Hart got dandruff and forget how to be a keeper.

Given came in, played his first match again Boro I believe. Did some quality saves. Then Hart went out on loan following that.

Isaksson was shite. Good for the Swedish national team but always a liability in club football.

I dont imagine he played more than 8 matches or so for us, did he?
In the bake off they had between all three keepers at the time it was somewhat entertained that Kasper had performed the best despite his "lack of height."
I recall being slightly conflicted at whether Joe or Young Schmikes should get the gloves. Clearly we didn't make a mistake but it wasn't easy peasy iirc.
Cheers

He didn't play much for us, but it was more down to being benched than to being injured. At the time it was actually quite a big deal that a seasoned international was benched for a couple of kids who barely got pubic hair.

Eggsactly how I saw it too. Plus kasper played excellent at the Emirates and saved a pen.

Yeah I note the phrase 'is flying' to Manchester on SSN website (sources etc etc). All Newsnow picked it up as 'having medical'.
Most likely the security guard's mum saw someone who looked like him!
Either way, after the usual 2-day medical, it could be anytime between now and the weekend!
