No new leaf for Mourinho. Carrying on playing the frightful bore he became in the last few years. Expect fun, the odd poke in the eye and, sooner or later, the inevitable crash and burn at the Swamp.

Jose Mourinho says the Premier League may be too competitive for Pep Guardiola

New Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho thinks his Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola may struggle to adapt to the Premier League.

The duo were fierce rivals a few years ago, while they were battling for the La Liga title during the period when Mourinho was in charge of Real Madrid and Guardiola was top man at Barcelona.

And their duel has now moved to Manchester, the big-name bosses having taken charge at United and City this summer.

Improved relations do not seem to be a priority for Mourinho, who suggested at his Old Trafford unveiling that Guardiola, who has just finished a stint with Bayern Munich, may be caught out by the competitive nature of the Premier League title race.

"I don't think he is right in this country," said Mourinho

"One thing is, you are in a competition like I was in Spain, which was a two-horse race. Now it has become three [following the rise to prominence of Atletico Madrid], but at the time it was just two.

"Or, when I was in Italy, there were three teams fighting for the title

"Then, it makes sense, that kind of approach. In the Premier League, it does not make sense.

"It does not make sense at all because, if you focus too much on one team, on one opponent, the other ones will be laughing, the other ones will be so happy with that."

But Mourinho added that he was not overly concerned about City in any case, in the belief that United are too big a club to be focusing on just one other side.

"I am not going to be part of it," he said.

"I am Man United manager. With all the respect to all the other clubs in the country, especially one that was my house for seven years [Chelsea] and where I shared so many incredible moments with their fans, I have to say that I am the manager of the biggest club in the UK.

"So, I don't have to be looking to the others so much, and I am going to focus on ourselves and our job."

This will absolutely end in tears and they will lose fans over his appointment in the process.

He's an ugly human being. Rotten to the core. He suits that club down to a t. It's exactly what I wanted and I am going to enjoy every meltdown

And the media are jumping all over it once again too, I had radio 1 on in the car at lunch and they played a short clip from an interview with him. He was going on how he expects everything and demands the best and how they were such a major force blah blah blah, then they went on to say "of course city had to bring out their own with pep" then went on to play clips about him not knowing anything about blue moon being our Club anthem and not liking oasis like it actually matters. It really was a pathetic attempt by the BBC

hateful little shit of a man. Why even go there and talk smack about being at the "biggest" club in the UK when you spent two stints at Chelsea where you won the league, what, three times? So fucking glad we got a positive amazing manager in place instead of this desperate, shitty, negative cunthole of a human being.\

And on top of it all...he's boring as fuck now. Uninteresting as it gets really.

cheers

Scratch that, it's the full hour.

Outstanding.

And it all ends with a rag in a jersey saying
"We're the biggest supported club in the world".

Perfect from sky. Hats off.

so he is going to focus only on the Rags not anybody else.
Then why are you talking about Pep at Barca, etc...? You fucking dick.

I really think this willl end in tears for him.

He has started of with an unprovoked attack of another manager. That is called disrespectfull. Wait until the pressure builds and he really starts insulting opponents.
Then we will know exactly how much support he has internally. My bet is that he has enemies within and he will not get the internal support he needs to survive.

I am also interested to see how much financial backing he gets like Pogba for £100M backing? So far it is mostly all talk so show me the money.

And Rooney as a 9 or 10? Rooney has not got the legs anymore. So is he setting Rooney up for the chop? If he is that is another fire to put out.

No matter what way I look at this I think he is fucked - and I will be delighted if he is. Horrible person.
