Hoddle would be in the same line as woy and mclaren. Managers only "respected" because they've somehow stuck around for years, but no brains, passion, or charisma.
Big Sam has tactics (that fit England's under-skilled players), fire to get the players actually trying, and embodies England more than any other manager I can think of. Like a British Conte or Simeone.
