Will you watch the game tomorrow?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Will you watch the game tomorrow?

Postby nottsblue » Wed Jun 15, 2016 6:44 pm

If you are scheduled to work tomorrow, will you get any time off to watch the game if you want? Or will there be a national outbreak of flu tomorrow. Or do workplaces just put a TV on and let people watch the game as they work

They've said we can watch it at work but make up the time...I'll be carrying on with work as I could care less about those morons.

Previous tournaments when our games were late pm kick off we were allowed to bugger off early (our then FD wasn't a football fan so he covered the phones) but 14:00 we are allowed to watch it through our lunch and make the other 45 minutes up.

Luckily enough, working in the AV industry, will be be watching on a 65" screen in one of our meeting rooms and the making up time will be ignored by most as pretty much all of us work the majority of lunches every day.

Sounds like the result of one of those 60s DIY programmes!

I'm owed a couple of hours so I'm off at 1pm

My boss offered to see if he could change my day off to today but I declined. Nothing resolved so not bothered. The tournament won't get interesting until the last round of group games when there's something at stake.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Ill watch the first half at work while at lunch. Tempted to put a few quid on wales winning this. Ill be more surprised if england win well that if wales win scrappily. Would put a bet on woy making a facepalm sub at some stage but cant decide what minute...67th or 68th?
