Transfer done deals summer 2016

Postby CTID Hants » Tue May 24, 2016 2:16 pm

Thought this would be handy thread like Mark BlueArmy used to do.....

First one to kick it off is Joey Barton signing 2yr deal with Rangers

Oh and the legend that is Sylvan Distin (now 38) released by Bournemouth along with half a dozen others..

Barton will do well with Rangers. Good signing for them. I'm surprised Burnley didn't want to keep him tbh.

cheers

Delph's gone to Bayern?
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

In 2012:

"I really don't care about Bayern. I totally feel at home here (Dortmund)."

And in 2014:

"I will not have eight championships at the end of my career. I will rather have done something special. I'd rather get one championship as an important figure here (Dortmund) than four championships playing part-time."

In 2012:

"I really don't care about Bayern. I totally feel at home here (Dortmund). My parents and grandparents are coming from this region"

I think Bayern has a clause with Dortmund.

When was it? In 2004? Dortmund was bankrupt and Bayern cashed them back in. I think they have first option of every player they want from there in the next 50 years and I think Borussia must accept.

Only offered 1 year contract with Burnley and was offered 2 at Glasgow.........at his age this was a no brainer.

Any mention of some sort of sell on fee for us? Surely we are inserting these types of add ons to the deals when players leave the academy? If not then we should do.

Even on a free could we not have a sell on clause? Other clubs seem to do this.

You've got to factor in that it's Glasgow though mate. So whether he can stay alive for the two years whilst living there is another matter.

Silvain Distin was a solid player for us at the time. Wonder where he'll go now and will he still be on decent wedge.

Not at 38 yrs old. He is either retiring or playing at a shit level. Probably the best player to never get an international cap that I have seen.

He could have played for Guadeloupe 2011 but turned them down.
