According to Transfermarket.com we got €3.5m for him and Villa sold him for €4.1m.
He made 27/38 appearances for Villa in the league last season.

The point that we sold a player for £2.5m. He then did fuck all at that club for a year. They then sell him on for £4.5m making a couple of Million in profit. That never happens to us, or at least it seems that way.

We will take a massive hit on Bony yet the dippers will likely get their money back on Benteke. Could be just me but I do think we let players go too cheaply

He made 27/38 appearances for Villa in the league last season.

Was reported at £2.5m at the time to be fair. Regardless of his appearances he had been utter dogshit last season for Villa

Kind of a no duh moment, but he gets to be the man at Utd over the next few seasons and he will be incredibly well paid for a footballer.

Unfortunate that we could not get him, but no one could afford him other than Utd, really. That's how it is. I think we will be fine as we have several young talents that Pep can nurture and turn us into a real force over the next few seasons. Pep surely will stay longer than 3 seasons given all of the young players we have been buying.

I think we take in to account our wages, usually a lot more than the buying club is going to pay, and offset out losses against thone savings.
