Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I think it is time to have this.
So, who is going to win in? Big guys or another surprise? Turkey looks good now versus England on our own stadium.

Last team to beat Turkey was Brazil in 2014. Decent run that is.
Assume Sterling was shite?

Defence is shite.
Will get out of the group stages and then get beat by the first decent team we meet.
Sterling is going to get dropped and Rashford is going in his place.
Hodgson loves his Rags.

Thinking about it, I hope Sterling doesn't make the cut. Normally I like to see City players at the summer tournaments as it gives a certain gravitas to the club.
However, I think he and the club would benefit more by his not being there.
1 - He will get a proper break from football to recharge himself mentally as well as physically
2 - It might wake him up that his career is not going the way he perhaps thought it would and it may sting him into action. Not writing him off by any means but since his return from injury he looks a shadow of the player the dippers had
3 - England will be embarrassed at these finals and therefore no shit will stick to him as a result

France, Germany, Belgium and possibly Spain. England as usual are going to struggle when playing in a tournament. If I was Sterling I would give playing international football a miss as he will be the scapegoat when England fail.

I think there may be a few upsets in this tournament. Looking forward to it. England wont do anything in it...cue gnashing of teeth in the media. Im past getting annoyed at englands performances though. Im still able to count on the fingers of my hands times when ive thought the england team had actually played well enough to have a sniff. As im nearly 45 thats a lot of england games where we havent.

I think the surprise package might be England so long as he keeps the core of Spurs players in the team, although you're right Alli is a red card waiting to happen and the defence is woeful - it'll have to be the Keegan school of football for them to achieve anything, that or shed loads of luck

was going to go for Belgium but losing Kompany could be big. they do have 2 other good center backs (Vertonghen & Aldersomethngorother). Hazard is out of form too and lord only knows what's happened to Benteke.
really like France's chances even without Benzema. prob going for them (or Germany).
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

It took Iam Wright five seconds to mention Rashford at the start of the England coverage. He might not even travel so why is he mentionedat all let alone such an early stage.
No answer needed - I know.

Sweden will crash spectacularly. I foresee a 3-0 drubbing against the Irish in the first game.
Belgium will flatter to deceive.
I think England have an easy group and should make it through to the knock-out rounds, but will struggle once there.
Ze Germans will win it.
Surprise team: Albania
Final: Germany vs. France

Take a look at our selected defenders and let me know how many names you recognise...
I even wish Jonas Olsson from WBA would have been picked, but he's fallen out of favour for some reason.

Well we have no quality at all. The only thing I'll say for the Irish squad is they are better than the sum of their parts.
Also this time around the team spirit looks really good. So you never know how they'll react.
Better than the last tournament in Poland hopefully.
