Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

So, I was watching the highlights from our earlier games and remembered that Sterling and Kolarov was really striking up what seemed to be the beginning of a good partnership down the left. Obviously that never went anywhere, which I found weird. What did you expect to see this season that didn't transpire and vice versa? (except the obvious decline during the second half of the season)
Oh yeah, I also expected us to qualify for the elimination rounds of the CL but not to get as far as we did. That was a nice surprise.

I thought we'd score more goals to be honest. I know we were top scorers but we were probably 15/20 goals short. I also can't remember a goal scored direct from a free kick and after the season before when Yaya in particular was on fire I would've expected a far better return.
But most of all I would've expected us to win against a top 8 side

Pretty sure KDB did but you're right no where near as regularly as YaYa did that season

Thought we'd win the league. Really disappointed with how we played. It was so frustratingly predictable for most of the season.
We surpassed my expectations in Europe although I still don't think we were great. I just think we got cuter, played a more balanced plan when needed. All the way to the Real game anyway.

I genuinely thought we'd win the league until about Jan.
I didn't think Leiscter could do it.
I thought Chelsea would turn it around and finish top 6 or 7.
Shows what I know.
Tracking back is overrated.

I expected to see a sustained title challenge but to finish 15 off the top was beyond embarrassing. Happy to read that the powers that be were also equally embarrassed and took action.

Expected greater desire in Pl and was surprised by the desire in the CL. Did not expect chavs to continue losing in the manner they did either. They will be a much bigger force next time around
