BT's blatant bias is beyond the ridiculous now

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

BT's blatant bias is beyond the ridiculous now

Postby Peter Doherty (AGAIG) » Fri May 20, 2016 12:32 pm

It's been mentioned elsewhere but thought it deserved a thread of its own. BT are utter fucking scum. But there is not media bias.

After their advertising campaign which they had to apologise to us for recently for missing us out on an advert and now this, if I were City I'd make their life hell every time they covered us at home.

To make matters worse I've just learned that their head of live football is a City fan.

You couldn't make this shit up.

Actually, I'm going to ring them this afternoon and pretend I want to sign up. Go through all the shite and drag the call out and just before I give my details I'm going to say "oh I've also noticed you're showing replays of all the FA Cup finals since 89 - before I sign up can you confirm that you've got the 10/11 season?" and when they say no I'll just tell them to get fucked then.

I wouldn't be surprised if he also worked for the club in some capacity.

Perhaps.

I'm not sure the club do nothing about this type of thing. Granted they don't do anything in the public eye but what goes on behind closed doors is anyone's guess.

It seems a few people on BM are cancelling their subscription and giving the reason as the bias in CL coverage especially. Has the double benefit of attracting a special offer by August!

Club should just completely blank the fuckers next season. No doubt the CL contract makes that a no-go.

Commentary aside....

Do you lot really believe that they would exclude city from programming on purpose?
What would they benefit be for them to exclude one of the biggest clubs in the world?
Everything has to be planned out and signed off, do you really think "exclude city wherever possible" is on someone's plan of action somewhere? seems crazy to me ...

Whether it's incompetence or bias - am thinking bias - there's too much of it and it needs fixing immediately

Yes I think it's deliberate. The muppets they have as pundits show a huge bias.....it's as clear as the balls on the bull.

Of course its deliberate how on earth can it be otherwise. You've searched for all the games, maybe remastered it or what ever its called, uploaded them all to BT site, maybe run some promo work on it and you accidentally miss one year???. Like Fuck you do when your in such a position and such a big broadcasting and media giant. Bias at its worse and so very obvious.

Of course they have. It was our first trophy in 35 years. Surely one of the most momentous occasions in recent FA cup history?

It was great that we won and that but it was a bit of a crap game - not sure it deserves to in amongst "the classics" just coz we won it
