Do away with the League Cup for teams in European competition.

Have mentioned this before but would like to see some sort of indoor 5/6 a side. Players can only touch the ball once before either passing or having a shot. The idea would be to improve ball control and speed of awareness. Something on the lines of the legends games that used to occur at the MEN Arena. Shouldn't get too many injuries and a bit of razzmatazz could be introduced for the fans along the lines of the PL darts of T20 cricket. Both of those spin offs have greatly improved the overall sports and are hugely popular and great revenue streams.

We could learn so much from rugby.

Sin bins. It's fucking stupid that an opposition's star defender picks up his 5th yellow card against us, so misses the match next week v one of our rivals, which is when we'd want him to play, so we get no advantage from the foul against us.

Rolling subs. Why wait for the player to get to the sideline before the sub comes on? They make it out to be some sort of event. Just get on with it.

Treat injured players while play continues. Would stop the play acting some teams adopt if they were down to 10 men while they pissed about.

Independent time keeper. When the clock reaches 90, the match is over. Get rid of this arbitrary injury time bullshit which the ref decides.

Mic up the refs. Football did it once with David Ellerey. Haven't had the bollocks to do it again. Would be interesting to hear the refs justification for decisions and to also discipline players for what they say. Would clean up the game overnight.

Change the offside rule so that if you get back onside, turn, and still beat the defender to the ball, you're not flagged offside.

Someone already mentioned bonus points. So, an extra point for 3 or more goals scored, and one for a clean sheet. If a team goes in 3-0 down but ends up losing the match 4-3, there should be some reward for trying to get back into it and the same points as a dull 0-0 seems fair enough.

Penalty point for 3 or more yellows (sin bins ;-)) in a game. Spurs had 9 yellows v Chelsea and I assume got a financial penalty. Fuck that, they should have been docked 3 points, 1 for each 3 series of yellow cards.

Use video technology as much as feasibly possible. Basically, remove as much power from the twat in the middle as we can. They have too much influence and it's ruining the game. (see Clattenburg in fa cup final)

10 points docked each time a team is late to a ground when all you had to do that day was get to the fucking ground on time.....

Allow under21s to be loaned all season round and not restrict their movement with transfer windows.

We have had the last quarter final FA cup replay. From next season the tie will be determined on the day with extra time and penalties if required

I loved the unlimited replays and getting them on during midweek straight after the original game.

My change would always be a stadium clock that stopped when the ball was out of play. It would negate all the arsing about a team winning 1-0 does.

American-style time keeping for Prem matches - we could have a large clock in the stadium counting up from 0 to 90 minutes controlled by the ref and the clock stops for any incidents during the game. No need for time added on, no dodgy time related shinanigans, when it reaches 90 the match stops. And EVERYONE can see it.

Exactly. Stop watch. Simples.

The reason they haven't used it so far?
Same reason they introduced goal line technology 30 odd years after they could have.

Yep. Though i would seperate time keepers. That way the referee has no influence as they do now. Fergie time would be banished forever
