I actually think you have a the makings of a decent team in there somewhere.
I don't think the squad is nearly as bad as some of you think. But I do agree about your history of Management style.
I don't know who you could nominate to do the job, but you need the likes of a Clough who would have just done it his way.
But the FA wouldn't have him would they.
Half of the trouble with being English manager is the profile of the job is so high that you need a manager that is beyond that and bigger in profile and personality.
His own man. Someone in total control.
To put your troubles in perspective, if you had Pep as your manager you would be European Champs and challenge for the World Cup. If Ireland had him as manager we would have a decent chance of getting out of the group. No difference really.
