Agree with that. You could see him trying to run around and he made a few tackles. But once he got the ball his legs were gone, and the normally beautiful Yaya distribution was too often 10 yards away from the target and lofted straight in the air. Legs gone and rusty, but not lack of effort.

From the training videos, he seems to be getting along well with Pep. I'd expect him to play a Vieira like role this season, only coming on if we're going for plan Z or in a less important game.

Exactly. Last night was an opportunity for him to show Pep that he was willing to work off the ball to fight his way into the squad and did he take it? Did he fuck. He has shown that he's happy to sit on his arse and collect £250,000 a week. Lazy bastard. Him and his agent can both do one
