He doesn't deserve that. How spoiled we are .

Our regressing league positions and players' attitude don't lie. Name one player who developed under Pellegrini or youth who was given a decent crack at a first team place. I wouldn't include Iheanacho in that as Pellegrini was constantly preferring Bony (ffs) to him until long, long, long after everyone was screaming for him to be played.

Have you considered that using Nacho sparingly might have been the best way to introduce him to first team football? Possibly backed up by how well he did.
City and sniffing knickers.

If you apply 'Justified logic' you might realise that pellegrini knew from day 1 he was keeping the seat warm for pep. So if he wanted to see out the 3 years he had to put something in the cabinet, that was undoubtedly his priority - why would it be anything else and he did that with 3 pots in his 3 seasons and was why so many of the kids weren't given a chance.
That said and using Iheanacho as your example, Kelechi himself has said it was pellegrini that gave him his chance when others were less keen to take him and he had nothing but praise for how he had been allowed to develop under pellegrini.

I can remember 'everyone' screaming for Kelvin Etuhu, to name but one of about 100. Not much of a guide I'm afraid.

There is a difference between being allowed to develop and being developed. Pellegrini did the former, Pep will be doing the latter. In what way has Iheanacho developed over the past couple of years? That he didn't pass to Delph for a tap in at the end of the Sunderland game suggests that he is still a raw talent. I'm sure Pep will hone that talent.
Don't get me wrong. I like Pellegrini as a person. I just don't think he is capable of managing a top team.

Why do you expect any manager to develop a 19-year-old player to the point where he doesn't make any mistakes at all? And why does a single mistake this season overshadow all the goals he scored last season?
How many goals did he score two seasons ago and how many did he score last season? I think some might call that a development.

Twice he's not passed and the first time it cost us big time - he's not Aguero and cannot adopt that attitude of not passing.
I guarantee he won't do it again as Pepe was spewing when he did it the other day.

He didn't score any two seasons ago so I get your quip.
I don't expect a 19 year old to not make any mistakes at all. And that single mistake doesn't overshadow all the goals he scored last season; in fact the very idea is a non sequitur.
His goal scoring is his natural ability - it's a major reason why we got him - but towards the end of last season he was messing up one-on-ones that he was putting away with ease earlier in the season.
Have another go, anyone. In what way has Iheanacho developed over the past couple of years?

There's some seriously spoilt cunts knocking around these days.
A manager that win us three throphies gets ridiculed?

I suspect there is little point in this but here goes. He has developed from scoring goals at youth level to scoring goals at first team level. Contrary to what you suggest, that is huge development.

And shouldn't be under estimated. People who look good on youth level or reserve team level will often fall short when playing against league one or two opposition. Kelechi didn't. Large step in his development.

Paul Moulden anyone? Adie Mike? Mike Sheron?
As I've mentioned previously, scoring goals, especially upwards of twenty a season is the hardest thing in football. Very few do it. Iheanacho is on that trajectory, playing alongside the best in the business. He will only get better

OK, I'll rephrase it explicitly as this thread is about Pellegrini, not Iheanacho, and my question was about Pellegrini's ability to develop players, not about Iheanacho joining the first team.
Has anyone noticed or heard of an improvement in Iheanacho's game over the past couple of years that was down to Pellegrini's coaching? Genuine question. We've seen an improvement already in Sterling under Pep and Delph has spoken enthusiastically about learning from Pep. I've not heard of anything like that about Pellegrini but am willing to have my perception corrected.

Really? You've decided to doubledown on something that EVERYONE has disagreed with you about?
