Just watching Derby and Hull. I thought the title was very appropriate as Steve Bruce is approaching the size of Richard Griffiths more every time I see him!

Not much happening here yet, but Sheffield Wednesday are in a good position after last night - it's been a long time for them.

You've got to feel for Brighton a bit, but I suppose this is the excitement of the play-offs. They were streets ahead of the other three contenders all season.

I like Bruce. He comes across as a real gentleman and tends to give an honest appraisal when his team play like pricks, rather than moaning about officials and stuff. He also hasn't devoted his post-playing career to having schneid digs at City and Liverpool, as so many of Bacon's twat protégés have.

As for Wednesday, one of my favourite grounds to visit and one of the friendliest bunches of fans I've mingled with as a travelling City fan. I wish them well. (The Blades, on the other hand, are horrible.)

I'd quite like to have a Yorkshire team in the Prem that isn't Leeds. South Yorkshire just about qualifies as Yorkshire.

I rather like the idea of Sheffield Wed coming back up after a long absence. But Hull is a direct train service that our mob run and is a freebie for me, and I can take a handful of mates at six quid return. So that would be fun.
I haven't been to Brighton since that Kevin Reeves header, and am unlikely to go again, so they can fuck off.

Yes Wednesday do sort of belong in the top flight.

However one of my memories is of Uwe Rosler, North Stand end, taking the ball in along the goal line from the right side. Keeper comes out to meet him at the edge of the 6 yard box right by the goal line. Rosler passes it across to Buster Phillips, on the 6 yard line right in the middle of the goal. Open goal.

Phillips hit post and out it goes to the other side. Luckily I think we won 3-2 - but still went down soon.

Great memories of the 1-1 at the back end of the 93/94 season. Huge number of blues and I remember there being loads of us in the cantilever stand next to Leppings Lane as it was pay on the door. Great atmosphere and the Wednesday fans were in good cheer as the Blades got relegated that day as well.

Wednesday just equalised with a lucky goal so 1-1 today, 1-3 SW on aggregate. away goals don't count as usual, isn't that right?

Knockaert has put some great quality in the box. Best player on the park and the centre back dunk looks decent too. He likes to bring the ball out from the back and join the attack.

Wednesday going to Wembley then. Surely Hull can't fuck up a 3-0 away lead. Even the elephant man isn't that shit.

Hull aren't going to make a balls up of the second leg. Tough one to call for the final. Sheffield Wednesday had a couple of good wins against Premier League teams in this season's Capital one cup and have drawn with Hull in the league but Bruce has got a decent track record of getting teams promoted.

Kicking off at the end there when the fans ran on the pitch. Keogh had a Hull fan in his face. The Derby manager wasn't bothered though, just ran straight through all theme to clap the away fans. Brilliant!

The guy who fronted up to Keogh is a real slimeball apparently he beat an old woman up for not giving any work it was all over twitter this morning.
