Europa League

If we end up playing Thursday nights all over the continent how will Pep treat the competition?

We would likely be the best club in that competition, with the best chance of winning it one would gather, and the Prem is going to be more competitive than ever for top 4 next season:

1) If Spurs keep their team for at least one season they are contenders.
2) Chelsea will clearly be back in the fight for top 4.
3) Liverpool are going to have a summer of transfers from Klopp and if they win the Europa League and make CL will have a better selection of players to buy.
4) United are going to spend big again, surely, and possibly bring in Mourinho.
5) Arsenal, of course, will be in the mix for top 4.
5) If West Ham can keep their players and add a few others they could perhaps fight as well.
6) Haven't even mentioned the champions Leicester, if they can hold on to their players for one more season as well

The reality is this is there is effectively no chance Pep will prioritise the Europa League over the Prem, as when Liverpool did this season as they had little chance of getting top 4.

It would seem the B Team and kids would get time on the pitch, given that Pep surely will want to win the league, which perhaps could be enjoyable for our fans in some way at least given the reality of this possibility.

We have to mount a better title challenge than we had done in the last two seasons (as well as Mancini's last season in charge) but we still have to get the balance right if we want to succeed in Europe whether it is in the CL or the EL. While it isn't going to be full strength all the time, the likes of Kun, De Bruyne and Silva will still make appearances when needed.

Id love a title win where it is at a canter and can ease off for the last month as its already won, none of our league titles were dominant and I think we need to do that to re-announce ourselves

Had we carried on this season like we started and not throw away silly points then this could have been that season.

if we go in Europa League, we are favorites to win the League if you ask me.

There will be less important games, we will treat the competition like the Capital One Cup. I am worried that it will be one year less for Guardiola to win the Champions League, the most important reason he was brough here.

But as I said, on the bright side, Chelsea and us might be favorites.

If West Ham beat the rags we just need a draw against Swansea which I think we'd get. Even if they draw we're well capable of beating Swansea. This is not over by a long chalk.

I hope they want to say goodbye to Upton Park with a bang. My only hope for tomorrow.

I'd prefer us to fuck off all the cups and focus on the league tbh (champs league aside) - i would view europa & domestic as a vhance to blood youth and keep squad players competitive

Swansea are on a roll, i dont see us winning. My only hope is United completely screw up and lose tomorrow and we scrape a draw on sunfay and get top 4 on goal difference
