Dreadful stuff. Let's just hope he hasn't fucked up in prioritising the Champions League.

Roll on Wednesday.

I think he may be hurt still. He has done well for us in other games, which I gather has been forgotten as seems the norm when players put in a few poor performances.

No not just picking on him for today. He doesn't have enough quality, a ok squad player but far from a marquee midfielder, even when he's been good, for his standard.

Agreed he's not one I'd pick for the first eleven. Decent enough squad player and English so that's what he is.

If only daft Martin had been brought on earlier. Not a great day for MP. He picked a few squad players which may be understandable, but they are the squad players he bought. Sterling, Delph, Bony etc. They just are not good enough at this level, sadly neither is our manager.

Don't know what Joe did wrong today.

Kolarov bottom of the barrel for a shocking lack of effort that would get you smacked by your teammates in a Sunday league game

We would probably need to pay part of his wages.

Might have worded it different but that's spot on. Problems and attitude comes from manager lack of a fuck given. On the positive lads 2 more league games of his shite.

The lack of movement in our team is atrocious. The only one available for pass and move is Nacho. The only one in midfield comfortable on the ball, Nasri.
Too slow though. Sideways, backwards sideways lose the ball.

There are a few in that squad that do not deserve a place ahead I'd youngster from the 18's. I say that because there should be no place in our squad for laziness, or lack of effort. The youngsters would have gained the experience needed throughout the season if this malaise in our set up was not tolerated. If you're going to fuck off games in the PL like we have done so often, then they couldn't have done any worse.
There are a few we have bought that just are not up to it at this level, too.
Bony gets so much stick for basically not suiting our style of play, despite the fact he cut the mustard at Swansea. Well I'm seeing the same pattern with Sterling. It's not looking pretty.

True. But this performance and how Ian rose above it all, just confirmed what we all had been saying. He may as well have got a pen and drawn the cock on his own forehead!

See, I actually agree with you on this being a managerial issue at this point.

Simione is too much like Mourinho. I'd never want him, and he's too negative. Klopp and I believe Pep are more my cup of tea. They form good relationships with their players, but they also have some fire in their behaviour that tells a story that we are missing at this point in time.

Pellegrini was the perfect solution to Mancini, but since that first season we have seen more and more of what he is lacking, despite his talents that I will always be grateful for bringing. Yes, it is on the players' attitudes as well, and the tough situation Pelle is in as a lame duck, the game to game situation we are in having a game we are under pressure to win but with most starters knowing they are 2nd choice, and not exactly those who believe they will be here next year.

I am aware of how this can affect attitude and behaviour despite all ones efforts as a manager, yet setting a tone also has an impact, and that is where Pellegrini is stuck in a situation where the tone he created that helped us at a time, is not quite as beneficial now. I wish him the best, and hope we win the CL, which I believe we can, but this game tells more about this reality more than I believe it does of some, not all, of the players being slagged off by us today. (well, not yet because some I am defending and I believe will stay, will not be given the same arguments from me next season).

Hart - Horribly exposed, must be mightily pissed off.

Mangala & Otomendi - Back to their headless chicken impersonations.
Kolorov - Didn't try, needs sacking.
Zabba - Had a go, but ineffective.
Fern2 - God only knows what was wrong with him.
Delph - Not good enough by a mile
Nasri - Another of his pussy displays
Sterling - What can you say, apart from shite.
Bony - See Delph
Nacho - Superb, didn't deserve to have to play with the others.
