I think the media are going a disservice to Mangala and Otamendi. You can only play as well as you are allowed to. And the two boys at the back, in conjunction with the Ferns, didn't allow Zlatan or indeed any of the PSG forwards time or space. They were thus feeding off scraps. Proper old school defending, something which we have not done well at lately. A real joy to see it last night

Add Cavani too. Saw him once in both games, the rest, Otter and Mangler took him out.

Vintage Ibrahimovic cameo in the Champions' League quarter finals. Cracking player but seems to have some serious mind fuck when it comes to this cup. I'm conflicted.

Ibrahimovic looks close to his end to me. Cavani looks utter pap; did nothing in either leg and was as ineffective as he was at the WC. Di Maria had one good game at Real, from what I saw. Possibly the most overrated player in modern times. City locked them down last night and our 2 centre halves are hardly Beckenbauer.

Zlatan has never been a team player. I wouldn't like him anywhere near our squad. Undoubtedly talented but a moody bastard who puts himself ahead of the team, in terms of importance. Just my opinion.

But he is also someone that has won titles in every league he has played in.

I'm just mightily relieved we never got Cavani. Never rated him, and those two games have proved the point in my eyes.

He's a luxury player. These type tend to thrive more in the Spanish and Italian leagues than they would in England.

Is that headline that was all over Twatter today true?

It supposed Scum made a contact with him and looks like he responded: Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "Manchester United wanted my services and l told them l don't play on Thursday."

Piss funny if really had happend.
