The Club will have to be seen to be doing their best for him within limits for fear of pissing off his Argie team mates. I notice they're briefing that they're hopeful of a ban not a suspension since it didn't involve Premiership games. We'll see.

Stupidity from the caretaker, another example he knows he can say and do whatever he wants as we are not gonna fire his arse.

Being given notice of the early termination of your contract is most definitely "fired." I used to give you the benefit of the doubt in spite of your limited ability when expressing yourself in a written form but I am now coming to the conclusion that you really are in the imbecile brigade.

Seems to be the same as appealing a ban and playing during the appeal or appealing a transfer ban and signing players while the appeal is ongoing

The comments of a keyboard fan. Based on performance I see home and away both him and you are in the clueless club. No need to be a twat as well. You throw a sarci one in you get one back and boom old Jon is back !!!!!

You'd think it was a good excuse to leave him back home but it seems that needs must.

To be fair, he's got until 5 Apr to answer the charges, so there's no reason why he shouldn't be picked.

However, the fact that he is there probably says more about how the club are seeing these charges, and the possible outcome, otherwise they'd have taken him out of the spotlight.

Reported that de Michelis not to contest the charges of illegal betting. I presume he'll make a plea in mitigation

If that was the case then it would have to be International competition involving Argentina or an "inside information" thing with club football as he is allowed to bet on competitions he is not part of but is subject to rules on insider information from his "position in football."

Not true. The FA introduced a ban on gambling on all types of football under the broader jurisdiction of FIFA and its members (confederations and national associations) about 2 years ago. This even includes women's football and futsal.

Players no longer able to bet on games, even if they're half a world away? Seems a little hypocritical when the likes of Sky, who fund the game, have their own betting subsidiary.

Very valid point. Who is more likely to have the means and access to engage in systemic corruption of a league?

Some people could think that it's been going on for years.

Like a Gothic king, it all went wrong for MDM when he cut off his pony tail. Should never have done it, blame his missus.
