I have to say that I actually like the fellow.....He is honest, shows compassion, takes the media to task and those qualities make him likeable in my book.

Agent Van Gaal has talent. So far , he's not done quite as much damage as agent Moyes, but he's pacing himself very wisely , as noted by our learned friend above, so as to hopefully both see off the threat of Mourinho and deter good quality signings. The occasional win can be excused, if it keeps him in there long enough to ensure long-term, strategic mediocrity.A fine, astutely balanced performance so far.

It's amazing that there is zero outrage over Mourinho's comments that it's a "done deal" him going to shited ,and the club have said fuckall to silence those rumours.

We would have been slagged off from morning to night by every hack on planet earth if it was about Man City.

And to answer the question , I think Van Gaal is comedy gold.

Can Gaal is a typical Dutchman. I worked with some a few years ago and they said 'the English are too polite to be honest and the Dutch are too homest to be polite'; there is s lot of that about LVG.

I'm not sure about his management style; sometimes it produces results and sometimes it bombs. I don't think the rags will ever like it though. He is hard to dislike.

Nevertheless he is a rag great, although not as good as Moyes and Woodward.
