Pen can be put to paper now to take effect from July 1. I'll be very surprised and disappointed if we haven't got a deal or two done before July. Obviously the Euros are a complication but agents and Club officials are around to be talked to. Pep has his last business day with Bayern today, a couple of weeks holiday and he'll be fully occupied with next season's squad. Of course he's already had discussions with Txiki and Soriano about this.
If I was Pep I wouldn't tell those two anything.

Rumours the dippers want Drinkwater for £14m. Seems like a very good price to me. Would he be any worse than Fernando?

Yep, I genuinely think so. Fernando is a good player. Buying players after they've had one alright season is something that the team linked with him do. Let them do it.

I know what you mean about players who have had a breakthrough season, but his stats are right up there though and he at least knows what a forward pass is and how to do it. Is he not Vardy's chief assister?

I could be wrong but I mean just assists for Vardy alone. I know Mahrez had the most overall but I thought I read somewhere a few weeks ago 5/6 of Vardy's goals were from Drinkwater which was a PL high for one player.

I think me might have a hidden card on our sleeve, someone big that was not in the radar so far. You cannot have Guardiola and in his first season you bring him Drinkwater. (a player I think it is actually good).
I think Reus, but it depends of how fit he really is.

Yeah, but Leicester's style is far too direct for us. The City way is to pass it around a long while, then pass it around in the penalty area for a while anmd then perhaps take a shot.

Hope not mate.
I m always cagey about Russians. same as for Brasilians, for diggerent reasons.
I still remember when Michailichenko, then probably the closest thing to the best Yaya with higher workrate, came to Italy and failed big, because of struggling to settle outside his Country.

Asked my russian friend, Zenit fan and this his description:
Good young player from Ukraine, one of the most talented youngsters from Russia. But over promoted, he's not even in top 20 Russian players at his age. Raised by Shakhtar but then they let him go to a mediocre team, FC Ufa and also one game for the national team of Ukraine, he plays as a playmaker.
Not spoiled, but comes from a village and his father is doing all of his deals.

Not if we're signing ter Stegen.

looks like we dropped a bollock with the karius lad that the dippers are being linked with for 5m
would make a very decent number 2 and he was with us from 1/7/09 to 11/1/2012, another 6 months on our books and we could be resigning him and counting him towards to hgp rule.
also, what is this kidd back to the swamp talk?!?!

He's been linked with dippers one also, which would make more sense as they need a goalkeeper and which would simultaneously massage his ego (on the basis that not winning trophies with Liverpool would probably appeal to him a lot more than not winning them with Everton). All depends on ter Stegen arriving, as you say.
