Unthinkable scenario

This is most definitely going to happen.

We will finish 5th, missing out on chumps league qualification.

BUT! We make it through to the chumps league final, facing Bayern.

Pep knows that if he wins, he'll be taking over a team in the Europa League with no real chance of attracting the players we desperately need to replace our ageing/shit current squad members. Or he could purposefully lose, meaning his new employers qualify for the chumps league and all the benefits that go hand in hand with that.

Then we'll get done for corruption and demoted to the unibond league

Relax! If we're shit enough to finish 5th then we're equally shit enough not to have a snowballs chance of getting anywhete near the CL final.

What if we go to the final, we play Bayern and in the 82 minute, we open the score with beautiful free kick from Yaya, then Muller makes it 1-1 and one minute before going to extra times, all our squad will discover the force and start controlling the ball with their mind and then the floodlights will go off and when they come back, Pellegrini turns himself into a bat while shouting; Fuck you, Pep! And finally showing us that he was a vampire all along?

That's a scenario that has been going through my head and is a possibility that I didn't really want to start a thread about.

But what if. Where would that leave Pep and the summer transfer plans.
I think it would be disastrous PR for the owners and would set back plans again, just as it was looking like we are stepping up to the next level.
Can't be allowed happen. Surely.

I guess he'd be in a similar position to someone who supports 2 teams, who then play each other...

Maybe Pep will want Bayern to win for 10 mins, then City for 10 mins, then gradually favour one side over the other...

Just a thought.

I think that scenario is more likely than Fidel's.

What the fuck have you been smoking?

Kiev will fuck us over there and most likely get a draw at the tad and go through on the cunts rule.

Just to clear things up - I don't honestly think this will happen. Just letting my imagination get the better of me, and it does sound quite fun.

Definitely going to happen

Pep couldn't make them lose even if he tried imo.
But which would he want is the question?

I'm certain he would want to win it for couple of reasons. First of all he's a professional and respects his contract. 2nd winning CL is not something even the very best in the business can take for granted so he would not pass on the opportunity. And would Pep really care if he took over a team not currently in CL? I don't think so and I fully believe Pep's pulling power would be greater factor than CL for those he would like to sign
