Don't worry, I heard we're replacing him with Gundogan!

regardless of his injury history and future, at such a small transfer fee was it worth the risk to have an England international on the books? its such a small chunk of money that it almost seems worth it

I think we should get rid and promote a kid. Maybe Zuculini.

23 year old Zuculini who would take up one of the 17 foreign spots, no thanks.

He is not HG? Doesn't have that status?

No idea, genuine asking.

Maybe another youngster then.

Think he was 20/21 when he signed him mate.

I don't know what level the youngsters are at but I'd be inclined to agree with you, someone from Bryan, Byrne, Fofana, Ntcham ( is he still on our books? )

Can we replace whoever keeps buying injury prone players too?

That's a good question. Someone should be accountable. Even if we get Gundogan at a good price it's no good if he is injured. We have a 25 man squad which was severely tested last season due to the number of injuries and the huge number of games we played.

We seem to have no luck with injuries, and this goes back far to Bojinov, Santa Cruz, Jovetic, Rodwell, Delph...and more who never get seen much..

We didn't have bad luck with those players. We chose to sign players with a history of injury problems. So it's no surprise what happened with them.

For £8m, Delph was a worthwhile buy, particularly as we needed English players. He has actually performed well when fit. It's just a shame it isn't that often.

Out of that list though Santa Cruz was the worst signing. Permanently injured his whole career and we blew £19m on him. Hughes has to take a lot of the blame but the club should have never allowed that transfer to happen.

In his autobiography, Sam Allardyce said that he was surprised that Santa Cruz passed the medical, but his problems may not have shown up on the scans. Apparently, because his right knee hadn't been active for a while, the hot spot showing the injury might not have been picked up. According to Sam, it's only when the player starts training again that the problem shows up. You might have thought our medical staff would know this though!

What's the deal with Delph these days? Obviously injuries constantly seem to be an issue with him but do we think Pep fancies him?

He was doing well till he got injured...again. Pep talked him up and Delph was loving it. I reckon he would of been very useful this year but we cant rely on him to be fit.

Aleix Garcia for me is ahead of both him and Fernando.

His recurring problems will certainly be a challenging task for our new medics to sort out - surprised he's not in Barcelona with the other injured players really.

Are you referring to the Russian revolutionary party which existed at the start of the 20th century ??

If that's the case, you might just want to say 'het'.
