I was gutted when I thought he was staying at Villa, as after a quiet start, he'd really come on in a poor side. By next season, with fewer injuries and more time learning from the likes of Yaya, Dave etc I think he'll be a key part of the team and one of the best in England. Not that he'll get an England call up mind

We needed more width, kept running into a packed defence through the middle. Presumably Pellers wanted to keep his more creative players on

I didn't disagree with Navas and width, but of the three midfielders he wasnt my first choice to come off (neither was Fernandinho)

Hmmm. Give me second to think. Who does that leave.

We've known this for a very long time.

Damn right we have, but he's not left footed so I am conflicted.

So we finally signed Thomas Gravesen!

That'll right the ship.

Great business at 8 mill. No question. We are, and should be, a million miles better than VIlla. It will be interesting to see his contribution when we play Barca, Real and Bayern. That's the company our players need to be comfortable in.

True enough. Hasn't looked out of place in International football so that bodes well

Nice to see he didn't have a nervous breakdown like Gareth Barry when people shout at him as well

There were only about 3 there giving him grief to be fair. Shocking turn out by them.

Fair play to the ones who saved their money though, they called it right

At least they will have four extra league games at home next season

Out of the euros with an, you guessed it, injury.

He will be gone under Pep. Can't got 3 games without some sort of injury

Unless he agrees to daily doses of horse spunk, or whatever concoction they use at Barca

If Florence Nightingale had had to deal with our players' injuries, she'd have fucked off and opened a chippy.

Would we then have to buy another English player then?

This really is madness.

Delph started less than 100 league games in 6 years at Villa where he regularly had injuries. I can't see any sense in buying injury prone players.

The way our medical staff works, we'd buy Iron Man then leave the fucker outside in the rain to rust!

We don't have to.

If we wanted we could have a squad of 17 foreign players and supplement that with under21s.
