Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The question for me is:
Would he get a game infront of Sterling, Kev or Navas?
If the answer is no, let him get some experience.

I thought the question was raised about it because Kev will be out for a while.
He wouldn't get on ahead of Raheem or Navas but would he be on the bench?
If he gets first team football at Celtic, it will probably be a good experience for him.
Not sure about the 18 months though.

Fair one butlooking at the fact that we also put Dave out there he'd get very little game time.
Maybe he'll be the new Weiss, never to return and saving the 'extras' value.

After trawling the Celtic forums it would seem 'Paddy' Roberts is making a lot of friends north of the border, put in a motm performance yesterday scoring two goals. The Celtic fans are crying out for a bit flair and are calling on Deila to make him a regular starter, sounds promising.

Hopefully he'll be their player of the season next year and then he'll be a great loan signing for someone else the following season...

I'm so fucking bored of our allegedly holistic youth development plans.
We're absolute shit with bringing anyone through. It's stupid given our investments and the shit we've had to watch this season. As a young player you'd want to fuck off sharpish unless Pep changes the culture.
Cheers

When Pep took over the b team at Barca they were OK, he changed that into fantastic. Berigistan will have his back, anyone he rates will be in Peps DVD collection. Berigustan is his eyes until he arrives....

I said exactly this when walking away from the derby 2 weeks ago. At the moment we are playing at the 'development game.'
Butthead across the road has given chances to loads of kids in the last two seasons. Yes we've took the piss, but the truth is Pellegrini rarely gives a kid a chance.
Iheanacho has even been overlooked in recent weeks, with Bony being the preferred option.
There are lots of rumours of our talented u16s not signing up. Truth is I don't blame them. As a parent you'd thank City for all they'd done and let your son join a club where they'll get game time.
Pep's going to find it hard to convince some of these kids they have a future with us. So lets see Roberts, the Garcias, Maffeo and Denayer in the squad. I also liked Jack Byrne whenever I watched him for u21s/19s last term. Plus he seems to have caught the eye in Holland.

Celtic booed off today after drawing with ross county at home. This follows the cup semi final exit v rangers and general poor form. Roberts played today by all accounts Celtic were awful. Is this really the best place for him to develop his career?

Next season, under new manager he'll be fine - is a bright spark in a poor season

i don't believe it ever is if you aspire to the top top top levels.
He'd do much better at a Spanish or Italian or German team in the bottom half of the table.
Running around in Cloggersville isn't going to make him better imho. Waste of fucking time.
cheers

Yet playing in Spain or Italy would? Not too sure about that. Scottish football, despite how shit it is, is a lot closer to the rough and tumble of the Prem than either of those two will ever be.

Look if we want to sell him to Stoke or WBA or Everton then maybe putting him in the shop window in Scotland is fine.
However, if he's worth a shit he should be in a real league with real fucking professional footballers. End of story for me dude. Sorry. I'd rather he was sitting in Fulham in the Champo because it's a far more realistic test of Prem-worthiness than Scotland.
cheers
