Such a shame, still a legend and should stay on in some sort of coaching capacity and develop him within. Definitely not one to let go, he is Mr City as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not insulting vinny by any stretch, but as far as what players have to do, play and not walk off in the most important part of a game would rank up there as two pretty good starting points.

Do we know that he followed the correct regime to get fit again? What about the time he did not care and played for Belgium in a friendly?

Zaba is a perfect example of a player that will always be a legend and a leader. Bleed for the colours and played in almost every conditions, fit, unfit, hurt and so on.

Plus had the balls to go and speak like a man with Pep and now he plays here, instead of acting like Yaya, Nasri or Joe.

Yup. Incredible player to have in our squad

Named in Belgium starting 11 tonight but doesn't play. Official word a precaution no new injury but doesn't look good if can't get through a warm up. Hope he is brought straight back to CFA for assessment and doesn't stay on with Belgium in hope of playing next game.

Belgian media reporting that Vincent Kompany injured in the warm-up. To be confirmed.

This would test the patience of a saint. If he were a younger man I think he may get more leeway, but given his age is not his friend, he is on extremely limited time. It wouldn't surprise me if he retired soon and took up his coaching badges if he hasn't started them already

it was jolly cold in Amsterdam, better safe than sorry

Kompany felt uncomfortable in the warm.up so decided not to play as a precaution. Sounds like he is finally learning to listen to his body. Hope he rests up and is fighting fit for our next game.

He's feeling uncomfortable every week and taking someone's spot on the bench the selfish alien head!

It's happening far too often. Sad as it is to say it looks as though his career may be over

Time to move on, taking up huge wages, a place on the treatment table hoping he will get back to his game of yrs gone by. He's not going to be as good as he was so therefore he has to go.
