If messi came to us we would definately need the other tier building which means more revenue for the club aswell as commercial money coming in.
If we can get him it would be the money spinner we need to take us up to the next level

Da-víd Mo-yes. Not totally implausible considering our Spanish connections.

Rodgers maybe? Although Sterling wouldn't be too pleased with that.

Messi, though unlikely in the extreme, would be worth every penny. Just the fact we had the worlds best player would be enough. Partnered with Kun, Silva and KDB among others would just be amazing. Straight away the worlds press would go into meltdown. Sponsors would fall over themselves to get a piece of the action. The shirt sponsor would at least double overnight, as would the naming rights to the stadium and academy. This would be the sort of signing that catapults us into the stratosphere.

Plus, it's not as if the Sheikh can't afford it

I really do think we need to stop this absolute nonsense about Messi rocking up at the Etihad anytime soon.
It is just is NOT going to happen.
Can we please stop this nonsense?

Rummenigge's words sounded very interesting:
"Things always move on," Rummenigge said.
"There is no person in the world who becomes irreplaceable at some stage.
"Players come, players go. The same goes for the coach - they come and they go too sooner or later."

Messi isn't coming. It would be a dream if he did, he's the best player to have ever played the game and would probably guarantee titles on his own. I can't see it though.

Pep on the other hand feels very possible. I love Pelligrini and would hate seeing him leave the club. But you get the feeling that if it was Pep in charge this season, we wouldn't be behind Leicester City and an atrocious Man United. It seems the most obvious route to turning City into a club that can get 90 pts in the league each year and have a real go in the CL.

Interesting the media abroad are reporting he is coming to City yet the media here are claiming he wants to go to the rags.

Jealousy and shit stirring on the part of our media or an element of truth?
