MotM v Juve

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Nov 21, 2015 7:24 pm

Although disappointed, thought there were quite a few who put a decent shift in tonight. I thought Navas wanted it while Demi, who was gash at weekend, was very much assured. Clichy looked good for his first appearance for a while and Fernandinho really got stuck in, only letting himself down with the wild swipe.

But you're not bitter :).

Can we vote for "noone in Manchester City"?

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Left it to my 9 year old son to pick as I cant bring myself to do it, so he says Aguero for the goal although even he admitted no one deserved it

Fernandinho, mainly as I couldn't pick anyone who'd been involved in the first half shambles

I honestly think Delph can become a real class player.

No one in this debacle was going to be MotM for being excellent, just for trying and doing a couple of good things, so I'm going for Joe for his saves despite his struggles to distribute the ball. Good goal by Sergio, but not enough for MotM. Kolarov saw a lot of the ball but wasted most of it. Delph was a breath of fresh air but not on long enough.

I went for Aguero on the basis that he's usually useless in his first 3 or 4 games back after a layoff and he looked sharpish at times yesterday.
Joe Hart motm? How anyone could vote for that clown is beyond me - I doubt that any keeper in the PL had worse distribution than he did yesterday . . it was so bad that it was embarrassing and it stopped us from breaking and nullified our counter-attacking threat.
He did his shutting they eyes and making like a starfish thing with some success but he didn't save many that were put his way - he had more to deal with than he usually gets but that was reflected in him letting 4 in and his saves to shots ratio is always crap.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Would've been even more embarrassing were it not for Hart's saves so he gets my vote.

Can't understand why anyone would vote for Aguero, granted he scored a cracking goal but he contributed little else.

I voted for Joe too. As others have said without his saves could easily have been 6 or 7

You're a fool. Notice how you've been silent about Joe this season as his performances have been excellent. We concede 4 goals at home, none of which were his fault, and you're on his back again. Pathetic

I actually think the criticism of Joe's distribution is once again valid, part of our game plan seemed to be Sagna winning headers from goal kicks/long punts on the wing, Trevor Sinclair style.

However, this in no way diminishes his huge saves to stop this being much more of a humiliation and he gets my vote.
