To be honest, that second half was just an amazing performance all round, even bony impressed me if I forget about that God awful shot when put through by raheem. That roll of the ball + strength to set up the move for yaya's curler just wide, that was beautiful from wilf.

You were amazes at the second half which was 0-0? Fuck me man, you'd have been jiss'in your woody if you'd got home in time, the first half was wonderful in comparison ;-)

Apparently so chief. But what I meant was that was the most complete 45 minutes I've seen from us in europe, barring not scoring a goal. Very very impressed with us. We beat the fucking Europa league champions home and away, that's something to bank.

Just being sarc'y mate, nothing derogatory, more to do with our first half performance, which you missed.

At least you weren't locked in the bog mate ;-)

Almost a perfect European game from the boys tonight. Fast out of the blocks, high pressing and taking (some of) their chances. Backed up by a solid 2nd half, any one of 5 or 6 could have been MOTM. Had to go for Fernandino for his all-round performance. CTID

All over the pitch, stone wall penalty not given, great save only stopping him having two.

Sterling close second.

There were so many top performances tonight, can we not have multiple votes again?

Gave it to Raheem because he looked himself in the first half again, causing havoc, and the finish was another answer to criticism. The rest seems to have done him well. After a few knocks he was not the same, but hopeful we will see he and KDB stay fit after some needed rest.

went for Fernandinho since we could only choose one. for me both Fernando and Fernandinho were MOTM. even though Fernando didn't get a goal and wasn't bombing forward like Fern 1 he was just as impressive imo

for once we had a decent referee - I was happy with his performance - maybe not MOTM

I went for Raymond. Best display in a city shirt and shows why we were willing to pay so much money for him. Terriosed them all night. The two Ferns were immense, Kompany back to his very best and a special mention to Navas, he was quality tonight. Hard work and an end product.

I really, really did not realise how good Fernandhino is playing in that roaming attacking midfield position. Just couldn't dream that he had it in him. World class performance from him and I don't say that lightly. Love to see more of that set up in future:o)

The set up worked really well and made huge sense. However if we have that set up, ie the two ferns, then somebody needs to loose out, thats tricky.

The engine on this guy is amazing, he can run all game, never stop and at the end of the game he looks like he's just been out for a short walk.

Set up the first, scored the second, fed the ball to Navas for the third. He was even there to offer himself as an option for Navas when the cross came in, that's some effort.

And unlucky not to score a second, good stop from their keeper to keep him out.

This match is the ultimate proof that we need to add "THE WHOLE ENTIRE TEAM" option to these polls! At the very least, we should have been able to vote for more than one player.
This was a masterclass performance by everyone in the team, including Pellegrini... and even the ref & officials didn't punish the team, this time!

My special MOTM mention goes to Jesus, since it must have been very difficult for him to help defeat his former team. I give extra applause to the 2000 City fans that attended the match & gave the team an extra boost, including the anti-UEFA "BOO" signs!

Also, I'd like to thank Slim & Beefymcfc, for taking the time to create these polls... and an extra special thanks to Dameerto, who was City's good luck charm!
