Angelino is back.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Angelino is back.

Postby iwasthere2012 » Mon Nov 02, 2015 1:52 pm

Angelino has been reported as being back and training with the first team today as well as Barker.
Could see one of them on the bench tomorrow.
Delph and Clichy are also back although Silva and Nasri are still out.

Just had a look there and Angelino wasn't included in the 'B list' for Champions League.

I'm always foggy on this stuff, but does he need to be named, as an under-aged player. He is with us more than two years isn't he.

Someone who knows this stuff, can we play him if needed?

He is with us more than two years but I'm sure he has to be named on the 'B list' to be eligible to play.

He wasn't at the club when the squad lists were submitted, so obviously he's not on any list.

I've just read the rules of registration and my interpretation is thst he is eligible but if he wasn't named on the original list he can'tbplay until the first matches of the round of sixteen. We have the ability to add three more players to the B list before 2nd of February 2016.
Looking at the rules, if we want to include Kelechi at that point, he would have to take someone's spot on the A list and I don't think he qualifies as locally trained.
I'm sure all this has been discussed before, but I find most of UEFA rules confusing.Whose spot would he take.

Clichy's back in training and flew to Spain. I can't see Angelino getting any CL game time at all this season. Silva was still feeling pain on Friday so he wasn't available for the Norwich game and I'm not surprised he hasn't made the trip. I think we'll have to wait till after the international break and even then he may not be match fit for the Liverpool game. Infuriating but Pellegrini will be determined not to bring back either he or Aguero back too soon and risk a set back.

I'm not sure what the rules are but Angelino has not gone to Spain but Barker was on the flight.

Came close. I'd love to see him score.

Really? I thought he was very good again last night. That touch to bring the ball down from Hart's kick just one of his many highlights.

Navas did well but I thought Hart's kick was a bit silly really. We were in the lead and he was in some almighty rush. How Navas managed to control it is a miracle - sure he's good at that but was Hart really relying on that? 19 times out of 20 it would go into touch. Thought Hart was a bit fortunate with the outcome of the move!

It's not the first time Hart's done it and it has proven successful before too, agree he was fortunate that Navas managed to control it but I'm all for Hart doing it, regardless of the scoreline.

I think it was very much part of the plan last night. They seemed to want to launch a quick counter, turning Sevilla quickly when an attack broke down.
The thing I was most impressed with was the speed we wanted to play at. it has been missing up to now.
