To be honest, I really think it is a shame. All valid criticism aside, he still could've offered the team something this season. He had a really really good stint before that Yanga-Mbiwa fella battered him for example. Looks like his time at the club is gradually coming to an end though.

Should be an opportunity to bed in the likes of Roberts or Manu GarcĂa, next to Kelechi. In Silva, KDB, Navas, Sterling and Delph (if he was ever fuckin' available) we have enough seniors for Nasri's positions.

If anyone has been a waste of fuckign money then its this little wimp....will never ever forgive him for ducking out of that shot at the wall when we played the Munchenhausens.

He can stay injured all season for all I care....brings nothing to the table.

He has scored some vital goals at vital times and his absolutely unique style could unlock a few doors. But I think his time is done, no-one will notice this current absence and I'm sure his new contract fairly recently was to enable a sell-on in the nearish future.

KDB is Nasri x10

Look at what you could have been Samir. Regret your choices.

Maybe the hair paint he used was toxic, so now he needs recovery for that.

One of the biggest disappointments of recent times following all the Brouhaha of his move from Arsenal. Excellent at going sideways, and not one you'd want next to you in the trenches.

Does this mean it's ok to go back to ripping into the French rather than kissing their ass? Hurrah, it's about time.

Wouldn't be too dismissive of him, we may need him at some stage. But I can understand the annoyance.

He certainly has the talent but rarely the application. You can forgive Sterling some inconsistency with his age but Nasri is not some kid and if he wanted to prove himself, he's had plenty of opportunity.

Great strike in the League Cup final, some outstanding performances in a few other matches and I think for about 2 months he was really getting his act together, then it all went to shit again. We've seen nothing like the player at Arsenal who scored 15 league goals in a season from him, almost like he was putting himself in the shop window and didn't give a shit since he got his payday.

I think that any conversation we've had about Nasri in the last 12 months or so, we have pretty much all agreed he is not the player we expect/wish him to be anymore (if ever).......

Yes he's bailed us out on the odd occasion ( & yes he deserves recognition for that) but we all seem to agree his days are surely numbered.

I don't think there will be one poster who would be gutted if he left in January. He has 4 yrs left on his contract but i cannot see him being here next pre-season.

Another sign of progression for us when you see the likes of KDB coming, we've moved on, it's time Samir did too?

Three extra months for a hamstring though? WTF is that all about. There must be something else to this story. Maybe a deal has been brokered for January and the buying club don't want him injured before his move so we have announced a further 'injury'.

As it goes I actually don't mind him and will be a little bit sorry when he goes, as much for the missed opportunity as anything though. For the Arse he was a phenomenal player scoring for fun and assisting in most of their moves. Since joining us he hasn't reached those levels and maybe the brilliance of Silva has not helped, as Silva generally has played number 10 which was Nasri's preferred position. The arrival of KDB has probably sealed his fate as well.

I for one will wish him luck when he goes

That's how I see it too. Nasri would have been very useful at his best in big Dave's absence, at Villa foe e.g.

I don't like Nasri but I still hope he comes back and proves me wrong. I'd love nothing more.

Edit: Apart from bum sex with Kolarov obviously (before Doom replies with it)
