We paid about £8m, they still owed about £20m and there would have been add ons for winning stuff (which at least we won't need to pay). The papers all reported the fee as £32-34m, so I'd guess you'd have to say he's a £30m+ player.

And he's nowhere near the standard of an £8m player.

Maybe all team's centre backs are shit and I don't just watch enough football, but City seem brilliant at picking the worst of them , usually for ludicrous prices.

We're convinced we can find the next great "ball-playing CB" and we've proven that we don't have a clue.

And our style of play atm, which I place squarely on Yaya, means that these defenders have basically zero
Midfield cover which forces them into more rash and ridiculous efforts at times.

Add that into the fact that we're in an attacking age of footy where attackers and systems are so much more sophisticated and the focus on defense bar 10 men behind the ball is limited....and voila. City are shite.

I have never ever in my time of watching and playing football seen a defender on his arse as much as this guy. Makes me laugh with his perceived hard man image. Do me a favour. Soft as shite.

Otter plays in an off he cuff side Huth and Morgan all be it solid defenders play the game simple, we are a shambles fron CM To the mess at the back. Sadly Pellers is not going to be the man to sort it. To think we have 3 Argentina players defies logic, but we are what we a mess when we face pace and runners like Mahrez, Firminio could with Coutinio do the same as mobile teams kill us.

his positional awareness is shocking. whenever he is in frame on tv i make a point of watching it and he's always charging all over the place left, right, and center leaving massive gaps in the center of the back 4 which a number of players have received through balls through and scored off of. all this is not to mention his stupid lunging tackles 25 yards away from the 18 yrs box.

i can't imagine that is what is being drilled at training.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

We're just soft as shit all over, not just at cb. Not one of them willing to put their foot in where it hurts and I include Fern 1 in that at the moment. Every team we play seems to have more fight than we do and that's a big part of why we've been so shit. We rarely win any 50/50s these days. It's like having 10 Fabregas's.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Otamendi is a much better player than he looks at the moment. Anyone playing alongside MDM would rush around trying to plug the holes. He was one of the very best defenders in la Liga and he hasn't suddenly lost his talent. Yesterday we had both full backs flying up midfielders charging forward etc. As a result we were wide open to long balls to pacy midfielders and forwards and our painfully slow defenders couldn't cope. Otamendi was probably the least slow of the four which is not saying much. Please Sagna for MdM and Clichy for Kolarov against Spurs. Please one full back goes forward one stays back. Please holding midfielders who hold. Please. Of course without de Bruyne Silva and Navas we won't have our usual creativity but we can't have another match like yesterday's.

What's the point in singling out one or two players when the majority are shit.
It's a team game and he is no worse than the rest of them.
Dhino was shocking yesterday and he's widely believed to be our best player this season.

He is trying to hard.

Having to play with an OAP or Headless Chicken is not helping.

Get a fully fit VK back and then a world class CH for next season and you will see a different player.

This is where I lay my hat as well. You don't go from a top defender in La Liga to being crap

Well Kolarov has been done to death, but he still gets a game and we all know Demechelis has no pace and seemingly now no strength either, Mangala would be getting pelters if he'd played, but Otamendi seems to be getting away with it as he has a beard.
