Let's face it. He's shite. Gets bullied, outpaced, out-thought almost every game. A touch of the VKs too recently when he's diving in stupidly halfway up the pitch.

Maybe all team's centre backs are shit and I don't just watch enough football, but City seem brilliant at picking the worst of them , usually for ludicrous prices.

Midfield cover which forces them into more rash and ridiculous efforts at times.

Add that into the fact that we're in an attacking age of footy where attackers and systems are so much more sophisticated and the focus on defense bar 10 men behind the ball is limited....and voila. City are shite.

We're just soft as shit all over, not just at cb. Not one of them willing to put their foot in where it hurts and I include Fern 1 in that at the moment. Otamendi is a much better player than he looks at the moment. Anyone playing alongside MDM would rush around trying to plug the holes. He was one of the very best defenders in la Liga and he hasn't suddenly lost his talent. Yesterday we had both full backs flying up midfielders charging forward etc. As a result we were wide open to long balls to pacy midfielders and forwards and our painfully slow defenders couldn't cope. Otamendi was probably the least slow of the four which is not saying much. Please Sagna for MdM and Clichy for Kolarov against Spurs. Please one full back goes forward one stays back. Please holding midfielders who hold. Please. Of course without de Bruyne Silva and Navas we won't have our usual creativity but we can't have another match like yesterday's.

Well Kolarov has been done to death, but he still gets a game and we all know Demechelis has no pace and seemingly now no strength either, Mangala would be getting pelters if he'd played, but Otamendi seems to be getting away with it as he has a beard.
