Injuries

What is up with this???

Silva
Delph
Clichy
Zaba
Vinnie
Nachoman
Mangler
Hart
Bony

Previously already:

Sterling
Kun
Fernando

I wonder if Sterling and Aguero are 100% as well.

We do challenge Arsenal for this trophy.

I text my Arsenal mate earlier and told him we were after their injuries title.

The other thing that concerns me is how many injuries we are beginning to pick up in training/warm up.

not looking good at all for midweek. only "positive" is that Kompany will likely be back after he withdrew from warmups today with an illness.

You wouldn't have heard that said last season.

Important players as well. Notice how Jovetic has played every game for Inter as well. Is there something wrong with our training/fitness/warm up that we seem to have more than our fair share?

I think it is just a run of bad luck. Other teams such as Arsenal, Newcastle and, dare I say, even the Rags have suffered in recent years when we haven't done too bad. The problem we had with Jovetic was our scanning machines because they could never detect any of the injuries he suffered.

The worry is most our of injury problems have not occurred during matches.

Why can't Kolarov get injured. Started the season OK, but last 4 games has been dire, almost all our problems coming down that side as if teams are targeting his weakness. If Zabba's fit, I'd bring him back at LB otherwise our season will start to look very fragile after only 10 games

They said Kompany's was illness.
Don't believe it for a second. He was sitting on the bench. Surely if he was ill he'd be away somewhere.

I don't know where the illness story came from but it's definitely his calf. They don't heel quickly and he won't play for us again til sometime after the break. Time for the Otter to step it up.

Given the current injuries I think the team in Germany will look like this:
Knob
Sagna Daft Mart Otter Kola
Fern 1 Fern 2
Navas KDB Nasri
Aguero
Maybe Joe will be back for the Newcastle game and possibly Merlin if the lump in his calf dissipates.

If the club sees the Champions League as a priority then Hart will start v BM. If he is fit enough for the bench Saturday lunch then he's fit enough to start Wednesday night. If we see the Premier league as a priority we may see the useless lump Caballero on Wednesday.

Like it.

I am a bit concerned that our players are coming back from injuries too soon.

Our bench isn't trusted. It's pretty thin at the moment. I don't think Pellers would trust starting a youngster.
Probably a mute point regarding Aguero as Nacho and Bony are injured, but we could have done with Denayer. I think MDM is too slow.
Maffeo? Could have given Sagna a rest. Ambrose? Garcia? Roberts could play on Sterling's side. None of them are trusted, so injured players are playing when they should be resting.

That's how it appears to me anyhow.
We certainly are missing the core of our team at the moment. I don't think it will be as bad when some of our new guys are bedded in. But I do wish Pellers would let the kids help out a bit more.
